Theater could be considered as a dramatic game and as an educational method, because it reaches the child as a whole, encompassing creativity and learning through entertainment. This article is a report of nursing students' experience in guiding children through theater in a public nursery located in the interior of São Paulo state. The clinical presentation consists of signs of intestinal obstruction, and pancreatitis and direct hyperbilirubinemia are possible complications caused by ampullary obstruction. A case of a six-year-old girl who presented with a duodenal hematoma and acute pancreatitis after having an endoscopic duodenal biopsy is reported.

There is evidence that the main factors that contribute to a predisposition to infection in cirrhotic patients are related to hepatic failure with consequent immunodeficiency. Invasive procedures (diagnostic or therapeutic) can predispose to bacterial infections, and upper gastrointestinal bleeding (UGB) is considered a potentially important risk factor.
