[Speech perception and the state of sound perception thresholds in patients with cochlear implants].

Objective: To assess the state of the thresholds of sound perception at speech frequencies in users of cochlear implantation (CI) systems with developed speech skills.

Material And Methods: The study involved 30 patients - users of CI systems, of whom 17 girls, 13 boys aged 6 to 14 years. All patients underwent speech audiometry in a free sound field twice (at the beginning of the study and after adjusting the settings of the speech processor).

Psychological Issues and Sexual Function in Women with Different Infertility Causes: Focus on Polycystic Ovary Syndrome.

The objectives of this study are to assess the prevalence of psychological complaints and changes in sexual function in infertile PCOS women compared with patients with other infertility causes (tubal and male infertility factors) and to identify the predisposing factors. An observational study with three cohorts of infertile women was designed including 37 PCOS patients, 36 women with tubal factor, and 31 women with male factor. Clinical history and physical examination were carried out in all patients.

Dual-Mode Solution Plasma Processing for the Production of Chitosan/Ag Composites with the Antibacterial Effect.

The development of novel biocompatible and biodegradable materials for medical applications has been drawing significant interest in the scientific community for years. Particularly, chitosan loaded with silver nanoparticles (Ag NPs) has a strong antimicrobial potential and could be applied, for example, as wound dressing material. In this work, chitosan/Ag NP composites were produced utilizing a single-step plasma-solution process, which is simple and environmentally friendly.

The purpose of our study is to assess the situation with safety of children when they use the Internet. A comprehensive analysis of the risks and dangers, the source of which is the World Wide Web, has been carried out. Researchers have used the survey method, which confirms the hypothesis that the problem of negative influence in the uncontrolled use of Internet technologies by children exists and is becoming more acute.
