Tetraparesis developing in a female, during pregnancy, was found to be due to an intradural cervical lipoma, associated with a subcutaneous lipoma at the same level in the midline posteriorly. Sub-total removal produced a return to near normal function with the patient being fully ambulant 7 months later.

Three children with hydatid disease of the central nervous system (CNS) were seen. In two patients the lateral ventricles were involved, whilst one case involved the cerebellar hemisphere. In addition, one child presented with a deposit in the maxillary antrum, and deposits were also found in the liver.

The effects of high velocity missiles are described. A series of cases of craniocerebral tangential gunshot wounds over a 6 year period is presented with unsuspected cerebral contusion shown by CT. Tangential wounds are defined and classified into four groups.

We report a baby born with three fully developed normally functioning legs. The third leg was attached to the baby's sacrum via an iliac bone at the site of a spina bifida. A primitive perineum was present.
