Investigating Safety Awareness in Assembly Operations Mixed Reality Technology.

OCCUPATIONAL APPLICATIONSWe investigated the impact of using Mixed Reality (MR) technology as a training tool to help trainees identify safety risks during machine assembly tasks, by analyzing their task completion efficiency and safety risk estimation capabilities. As proof-of-concept, an interactive MR module on hydraulic gripper assembly was designed and incorporated in fluid power laboratories to be tested with mechanical engineering technology students. The developed MR environment was evaluated using accident causation models.

Unexpected discovery of a thyroid hydatid cyst during pathological examination: a case report.

Background: Hydatid disease, a parasitic infection caused by the larval form of Echinococcus granulosus, infrequently involves the thyroid gland, whether through direct invasion or hematogenous spread.

Case Presentation: We report the case of a 62-year-old female patient from Morocco who presented with an anterior cervical mass, initially suspected to be a goiter. A histopathological evaluation of the thyroidectomy specimen identified the presence of a hydatid cyst.

Unusual demyelinating disease in a patient with HIV infection.

Demyelinating central nervous system (CNS) disorders are a diverse group of conditions characterised by damage to the myelin sheath. These include not only primary autoimmune disorders such as multiple sclerosis (MS) or neuromyelitis optica spectrum disorder (NMOSD), but secondary demyelinating conditions caused by infection and neoplasm, where immunosuppressive therapy may worsen the condition or delay definitive treatment. We describe a young man with an unusual presentation of CNS demyelinating disease associated with HIV infection and positive syphilis serology.

A synchronous presentation of thyroid follicular carcinoma-like renal tumor and papillary vesicular thyroid tumors: About an exceptional case and review of the literature.

Introduction: Thyroid follicular renal cell carcinoma is a special type of renal cell carcinoma newly recognized in recent years. The data is not mature due to the rarity of cases. The association of vesicular papillary tumors of the thyroid is exceptional, and this is the first publication describing such an association in the literature.

Objective: Total knee replacement (TKR) is a common solution for patients with advanced knee osteoarthritis (OA). Still, fall rates remain relatively high after surgery. TKR may alter pain and knee function, balance control, and proprioception.
