Background: We investigated the potential association between cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2) gene polymorphisms and clinical manifestations of sarcoidosis.

Methods: This observational cross-sectional study involved seven hospitals in Spain. We diagnosed patients with sarcoidosis according to the International Criteria.
