Plasmodium parasite causes malaria and affects the biochemical, physiological, and histoarchitecture of the hepatocytes and blood. The resultant effect leads to alterations in the metabolic activities of the liver, erythrocytes, as well as the buffer system. Therefore, we investigated the antiplasmodial activity, histomorphological studies of the hepatocytes and alterations in biochemical parameters in infected mice administered with the herbal formulation of aqueous extracts of stem bark and leaves.

Background: Hill-Sachs lesions are common after shoulder instability, and treatment options vary but include remplissage or implantation of structural bone graft. Large Hill-Sachs lesions not addressed by remplissage are challenging to manage and may frequently require an open surgical approach for bone filling treatment options. The optimal approach to maximize visualization of the humeral head during these procedures remains unclear.

Diapers, being one of the most used items for infant care, it is imperative that they are always free of contamination from microorganisms. The objective of this study is to determine the rate of bacterial contamination and the antibiotics profile of isolated bacteria from unused diapers sold in markets in Enugu Metropolis, southeast Nigeria.
