The production of recombinant proteins has helped in understanding of their function and developing new therapies. However, one of the major bottlenecks for protein production is the establishment of reliable mammalian cell lines with high expression levels. In this chapter, we describe a simple and robust system that allows for the quick establishment of stable transgenic 293 cell lines with reproducible and high protein expression levels.

The study is set to determine the perception and willingness of the household heads to the uptake of COVID-19 vaccine in a rural community in Southwestern, Nigeria.
Materials And Methods: A cross-sectional study was carried out among 409 household heads selected through a multistage sampling technique.
Background: The real-world impact on viral suppression of switching from non-dolutegravir-based therapy to tenofovir/lamivudine/dolutegravir (TLD) is not thoroughly characterized in Africa. We described the virologic consequences of switching regimens in the African Cohort Study (AFRICOS), an observational cohort in Nigeria, Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania.
Methods: Among antiretroviral-experienced people living with HIV (PLWH) in AFRICOS, we compared viral load (VL) nonsuppression (VL ≥ 1000 copies/mL) among those who switched with those who never switched to TLD, restricting to participants who had at least 1 visit with a recorded VL after the countrywide rollout of TLD.
Microtia is a small, malformed external ear, which occurs at an incidence of 1-10 per 10 000 births. Autologous reconstruction using costal cartilage is the most widely accepted surgical microtia repair technique. Yet, the method involves donor-site pain and discomfort and relies on the artistic skill of the surgeon to create an aesthetic ear.
