Liver growth prediction in ALPPS - A multicenter analysis from the international ALPPS registry.

Background: While ALPPS triggers a fast liver hypertrophy, it is still unclear which factors matter most to achieve accelerated hypertrophy within a short period of time. The aim of the study was to identify patient-intrinsic factors related to the growth of the future liver remnant (FLR).

Methods: This cohort study is composed of data derived from the International ALPPS Registry from November 2011 and October 2018.

ALPPS in neuroendocrine liver metastases not amenable for conventional resection - lessons learned from an interim analysis of the International ALPPS Registry.

Background: Surgery is the most effective treatment option for neuroendocrine liver metastases (NELM). This study investigated the role of associating liver partition and portal vein ligation for staged hepatectomy (ALPPS) as a novel strategy in treatment of NELM.

Methods: The International ALPPS Registry was reviewed to study patients who underwent ALPPS for NELM.

[Radical oncological stomach, liver and pancreatic surgery in patients over 80 years old].

Aim: To analyze the results of radical surgery for upper GI cancer in patients ≥80 years old.

Material And Methods: For the period November 2010 - June 2015 there were 14 radical operations in elderly (≥80 years) patients with gastric, liver and pancreatic tumors. There were 4 Whipple procedures, 4 total and 2 distal gastrectomies, 1 total pancreatectomy as well as a central liver resection, one laparoscopic 5 segment resection and one 2, 3, 7 segment resection.

[Radical surgical treatment of elderly patients with gastric cancer].

To analyze the early results of radical surgery for gastric cancer in patients > 75 years. In the period between Jan. 2013 and June 2015 there were 25 radical operations in elderly (≥ 75 years) patients with gastric cancer.

[Experience of two-staged liver resection (ALPPS)].

The aim was to estimate single center results of ALPPS. It was performed 5 ALPPS-procedures in our center during the period from February 2013 to March 2014. There were 1 female and 4 males in the age of 58-64 years.
