Determination of the levels and possible associations of alpha2-macroglobulin with autoantibodies in the serum of patients with various forms of autoimmune thyroiditis.

Antibodies to thyroid peroxidase (AB-TPO), antibodies to thyroglobulin (AB-TG), and the content of α2-macroglobulin (α2-MG) have been studied in serum samples of patients with autoimmune thyroiditis (AIT). All the patients were divided into 3 groups depending on age: 25-35, 36-50, 51-65 years. We found a significant change in the thyroid panel parameters in AIT, but without significant changes in the average concentration of α2-MG in the age groups of patients.

Review and contribution to the stonefly (Insecta: Plecoptera) fauna of Azerbaijan.

Known Plecoptera data published from Azerbaijan are critically reviewed. New records of 28 species are enumerated on the basis of specimens collected between 2017 and 2019, among them 16 are new for the fauna of Azerbaijan. Nemoura irani Aubert, 1964 is new for the whole Caucasian region, Leuctra sanainica Zhiltzova, 1960 and Plesioperla sakartvella (Zhiltzova, 1956) are new for the Greater Caucasus.

[Changes of cytokine profile in the blood of pregnant women with anemia.].

The aim of this study was to investigate the level of serum cytokines in different periods of pregnancy associated with anemia. 85 pregnant patients with anemia were examined. 46 of them were in their first pregnancy (1st group), and 39 (2nd group) patients were in their second or further pregnancy period.

[Mutagenic action of dimethyl sulfate and N-nitrosoethylurea on the mulberry silkworm].

Mutagenic effect of chemical mutagens, dimethalsulphate (DMS) and N-nitrosoethyl urea (NEU), on silkworm is studied. The effect of these mutagens have never been studied on silkworm before. DMS is found to be completely insufficient as mutagen for the silkworm, because its low mutability is accompanied with strong cytotoxic effect.

[Obtaining autosomal recessive mutations in the silkworm by exposure to nitrosomethylurea].

Mutagenic effect of N-nitrosomethyl urea (NMU) was studied in silkworm Bombyx mori L. Taking into consideration the specificity of the mutagen action, the main part of the work delt with the search for the optimum regime of the mutagen administration. The NMU effect is observed at different stages of the silkworm development by means of different methods.
