Background: Schizophrenia is a severe mental health disorder characterized by abnormality in patient perception, belief and cognition resulting in gross abnormal behaviour and deterioration in interpersonal relationship and occupational functioning with onset usually in adolescence and youth period. While it is common to observe distortion in the belief system and perceptual experiences and other oddities of behaviour, including amotivational syndrome, ambivalence, social withdrawal, catatonia among youth suffering from this severe mental disorder, presenting with neurological symptom of complete inability to walk despite the desire to do so is very uncommon. We aimed to present a case report of a Nigerian youth who presented with inability to walk without any neurological deficit and had normal brain MRI scan.

Objective: The objective of this study was to assess the effect of implementing an electronic health information exchange (HIE) on the quality of data available to measure HIV viral load testing turnaround time (TAT) in Nigeria.
Methods: We measured viral load data validity and completeness before the implementation of electronic health information exchange, and 6 months after implementation.
Mental illness is not uncommon in women of childbearing age. Pregnancy, delivery and the postpartum state could precipitate mental illness in predisposed women or worsen psychiatric symptoms in those known to have mental ill-health. Maternal mental illness exposes the infant to neglect, abuse or outright harm.

Micronutrients, some of which possess anti-inflammatory properties, may help prevent the development of psychological disorders such as anxiety and depression in people living with HIV disease.
Objectives: This study examined the profile of viral load, CD4 cell count, C-reactive protein, anxiety, and depression among highly active antiretroviral therapy (HAART)-naive HIV-positive patients receiving micronutrient supplementation over a 6-month period.
During biomass fractionation, any native acetylation of lignin and heteropolysaccharide may affect the process and the resulting lignin structure. In this study, (TC) and its lignin isolated by milling (MWL), ionosolv (ILL) and organosolv (EOL) methods were investigated for acetyl group content using FT-Raman, ¹H NMR, 2D-NMR, back-titration, and Zemplén transesterification analytical methods. The study revealed that TC is a highly acetylated grass; extractive free TC (TC) and TC MWL exhibited similar values of acetyl content: 6 wt % and 8 wt % by Zemplén transesterification, respectively, and 11 wt % by back-titration.
