Background And Objective: Although radical cystectomy (RC) with pelvic lymph node dissection (PLND) is the standard treatment of muscle invasive bladder cancer, it may cause lymphatic leakage. Recent studies describe lymphatic embolization (LE) as an option to manage post-operative lymphatic leakage. Hence, this study evaluated the outcome of LE in patients receiving RC and analyzed factors associated with outcomes.

There are different needs depending on the clinical application, including breast, abdominal wall, and any other soft-tissue reconstruction. Removal of the basement membrane, which consists of collagen fibers, may help achieve natural and soft breast reconstruction, which requires highly elastic ADMs.

This technique may help overcome anastomosis in a small, deep space. Understanding the arteries' mechanical properties is crucial for breast reconstruction's safety and success.

Recent advances in skin flap circulation detection have increased the use of prepectoral reconstruction. A partial muscle-splitting subpectoral plane was introduced to decrease the visibility of the implant edge.

At our institution, we introduced a tumescent-free robotic NSM using the da Vinci single-port system (Intuitive Surgical, Inc.).

Utilizing botulinum toxin A (BTX-A) injections offers several advantages, including a short procedure time, low pain, and a speedy recovery. With a demand for high-level evidence regarding the effectiveness of BTX-A injections for correction of lower leg contour, we evaluated the safety and efficacy of BTX-A injection for improvement of gastrocnemius muscle hypertrophy.

Materials And Methods: We reviewed the data from patients who underwent robot-assisted pyeloplasty for ureteropelvic junction obstruction (UPJO) at a single tertiary institution between March 2016 and May 2022. Radiographic and symptomatic improvements were assessed 3 months postoperatively.
Background: Several alternative flaps have been introduced and used for autologous breast reconstruction. However, as body fat distribution is different among patients, the donor of choice for sufficient breast projection varies between patients.
Methods: Patients who underwent autologous breast reconstruction from Jan 2018 to Sep 2022 were included.
Cancer stem-like cell (CSC) is thought to be responsible for ovarian cancer recurrence. CD24 serves as a CSC marker for ovarian cancer and regulates the expression of miRNAs, which are regulators of CSC phenotypes. Therefore, CD24-regulated miRNAs may play roles in manifesting the CSC phenotypes in ovarian cancer cells.

Objectives: We evaluated the feasibility of a dual drug-releasing patch that enabled the controlled delivery of antibiotics and immunosuppressants in a temporally and spatially appropriate manner to the implant site.
Methods: The efficacy of a dual drug-releasing patch, which was 3-dimensional-printed (3D-printed) with tissue-derived biomaterial ink, was evaluated in rats with silicone implants.
ERBB3, a key member of the receptor tyrosine kinase family, is implicated in the progression and development of various human cancers, affecting cellular proliferation and survival. This study investigated the expression of ERBB3 isoforms in renal clear cell carcinoma (RCC), utilizing data from 538 patients from The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) Firehose Legacy dataset. Employing the SUPPA2 tool, the activity of 10 ERBB3 isoforms was examined, revealing distinct expression patterns in RCC.

We analyzed the capsule formation according to surgical techniques and adjacent tissues, including the chest wall tissues, such as the ribs and acellular dermal matrices (ADMs) that come in contact with silicone implants.
Methods: This study consisted of experiments on 12 Sprague-Dawley rats that underwent implant reconstruction using ADM.
Background: In this study, the authors compared conventional and robot-assisted mastectomy and breast reconstruction. To the authors' knowledge, this study is the first to report the results of robot-assisted mastectomy and breast reconstruction and provide a comparison of patient-reported outcomes.
Method: This retrospective study included 473 breasts of 423 patients who underwent conventional mastectomy and breast reconstruction and 164 breasts of 153 patients who underwent robot-assisted mastectomy and breast reconstruction from July of 2019 to October of 2021.
Background: Although there are many acellular dermal matrix (ADM) products, the sterilization process varies for each product. We compared the clinical outcomes of immediate prepectoral direct-to-implant (DTI) breast reconstruction with and without sterilization products.
Methods: This was a retrospective study of immediate prepectoral DTI breast reconstructions performed between 2018 and 2020.
Background: Superficial inferior epigastric artery (SIEA) flap offers a significant advantage of lower donor site morbidity over other abdominal-based flaps for breast reconstruction. However, the inconsistent anatomy and territory across the midline remains a major issue. This study aimed to investigate the SIEA and determine its pattern and territory across the midline.

Materials And Methods: We retrospectively reviewed patients with non-urological cancers who underwent ureteral stenting or percutaneous nephrostomy (PCN) for MUO between 2006 and 2014. Variables predicting stent failure were identified using Cox regression analysis.
Objective: To investigate the prevalence and trends of essential study design elements in preclinical urological studies, as well as key factors that may improve methodological rigour, as the demand for methodological rigour in preclinical studies is increasing since research reproducibility and transparency in the medico-scientific field are being questioned.
Methods And Results: PubMed was searched to include preclinical urological studies published between July 2007 to June 2021. A total of 3768 articles met the inclusion criteria.
Background: Direct-to-implant breast reconstruction is a standard method of implant-based reconstruction; however, the risk of skin necrosis and implant failure exists. During simultaneous contralateral augmentation, an implant larger than the resected tissue must be inserted to balance both sides, which may increase the risk of complications. This study examined the differences in the incidence of complications between the single-stage direct-to-implant reconstruction and 2-stage reconstruction when contralateral augmentation was performed simultaneously.

Background: Brassiere cup size is defined as the difference in chest circumference between the inframammary fold and the fullest part of the breast. However, a large number of women are not aware of the correct definition and are prone to wearing incorrectly-sized brassieres. In this report, the authors compared the cup size of worn brassieres and the actual measurement.

Vulvar reconstruction has relatively few references as it is performed in many different ways. Our report aimed to create a simplified reconstruction algorithm that can be used to select the reconstruction flap and to compare clinical outcomes.

Recent reports have introduced robotic breast surgery for immediate breast reconstruction with an implant. However, relevant reports of robot-assisted breast reconstruction including capsulectomy are limited. Although capsulectomy lowers risk of capsular contracture and thus contributes to better aesthetic outcomes, total capsulectomy may have complications, such as injury to axillary structures or chest wall and overlying skin devascularization.
