Background: To investigate the effects of helmet therapy on plagiocephaly, according to head circumference, cephalic index (CI), and skull height. Plagiocephaly is a condition in which the skull is congenitally asymmetrical or affected by acquired factors such as compression in the womb or the habit of sleeping on one side. Although there are numerous studies on the effectiveness of helmet therapy for plagiocephaly, research on its effectiveness on skull shape is lacking.

Based on our review of studies on rhabdomyolysis after prolonged surgeries, no other cases of rhabdomyolysis caused by muscle injury in the buttock area following breast reconstruction have been reported, making the current report the first to share information related to patient conditions and treatment progress in such cases.
Case Description: Here, we present the case of a 57-year-old Asian patient with left breast cancer.
To date, few studies have examined changes in waist circumference and cardiovascular risk profile (CVRP) after autologous breast reconstruction. Therefore, this study aimed to investigate the effect of flap surgery using autologous tissue on waist circumference and CVRP through a nationwide population-based cohort study. In total, 6926 patients who underwent autologous breast reconstruction between 2015 and 2019 were considered.

Thus, it is widely used in various reconstructive surgeries. We are reporting on the patterns of the thoracodorsal artery analyzed by chest computed tomography (CT) angiography.

TGF-β isoforms exhibit differential expression, indicating distinct wound healing and scar formation functions. However, the role of TGF-β1 and TGF-β3 in wound healing and scar formation remains unclear.

We attempted to perform the automatic segmentation of lesions from MRI of extracranial VMs using a convolutional neural network as a deep learning tool.
Methods: T2-weighted MRI from 53 patients with extracranial VMs in the head and neck region was used for annotations.
Arteriovenous malformation (AVM) is characterized by high-flow blood vessels connecting arteries and veins without capillaries. This disease shows increased angiogenesis and a pathophysiological hypoxic environment in proximal tissues. Here, we analyzed the effects of hypoxia on angiogenesis in the endothelial cells (ECs) of AVM and normal tissues.

The purpose of this study is to predict the implant size based on the breast volume measured by mammography (MG) with a fully automated method, and by breast magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) with a semi-automated method, in breast cancer patients with direct-to-implant reconstruction.
Patients And Methods: This retrospective study included 84 patients with breast cancer who underwent direct-to-implant reconstruction after nipple-sparing or skin-sparing mastectomy and preoperative MG and MRI between April 2015 and April 2019.
Objective: This study was performed to establish a quantitative evaluation and comparison of fixation stability, as measured by an eye tracker, using image-based areas determined by the bivariate contour ellipse area (BCEA), kernel density estimation (KDE), and Scanpath methods.
Methods: This prospective cross-sectional study included 45 and 20 participants with abnormal and normal phoria, respectively. Eye movements were recorded using a remote eye tracker and were plotted using RStudio software.
Purpose: Fixation stability for binocular anomalies with a phoria cannot be detected by direct observations. This study aimed to quantitatively evaluate fixation stability using an eye tracker rather than direct directions in binocular vision with abnormal and normal phorias.
Methods: Thirty-five and 25 participants with abnormal and normal phoria, respectively, were included in the study.
Background And Objective: Ocular torsion, the eye movements to rotating around the line of sight, has not been well investigated regarding the influence of refractive errors. The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of uncorrected ametropia on ocular torsion induced by fixation distances.
Methods: Seventy-two subjects were classified according to the type of their refractive error, and ocular torsion of the uncorrected eye was compared based on changes induced by different fixation distances.
Background: Arteriovenous malformation (AVM) which is a high-blood-flow lesion with connections between arteries and veins without an intervening capillary bed, is difficult to manage. The ear is the second most common site of extracranial AVM. However, studies regarding the management of this condition remain lacking.

Methods: Fifty-three healthy college students participated in this study. The mean OCR was measured by collection of iris images and fundus images under seven head tilt conditions (0 degrees; 10, 20, and 30 degrees right; and 10, 20, and 30 degrees left).
Significance: Prism-induced convergence and vertical vergence for maintaining binocular fusion induced postural instability to a greater extent than diplopic conditions. This finding has important implication in relation to postural control of patients with large exophoria or vertical phoria in optometric clinic.
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to examine whether binocular single vision with prism-induced horizontal and vertical vergence and diplopia might affect the static postural stability.
Reports have indicated the effect of myopic blur on postural stability. The objective of this study was to investigate the minimum refractive error to significantly affect postural stability through a various levels of hyperopia and myopia induced by ophthalmic lenses. Forty subjects with a mean age of 22.

Most studies related to computer use and vision have individually assessed physical and ocular symptoms and binocular vision. Accordingly, the present study comprehensively assessed subjective physical and ocular symptoms and functions related to binocular vision after prolonged continuous computer gaming.

An axial length (AL) of them can be used in individual ophthalmic lens designs. Our aim was to propose a reliable formula that predicts an individual's AL using the corneal radius and refractive error, and to demonstrate the applicability of this formula.

However, the exact physiochemical properties and biological toxicities of fine APPs are still not well characterized. We collected four types of fine particle (FP) (diesel exhaust particles [DEPs], natural organic combustion [NOC] ash, synthetic organic combustion [SOC] ash, and yellow sand dust [YSD]) and investigated their physicochemical properties and biological toxicity.
