Facile fabrication of crack-free TiO inverse opal thin-film and its application as electron transporting scaffold for efficient SbS-sensitized solar cells.

Uniform and crack-free TiO inverse opal thin-films were successfully fabricated by simple template immersion method in pre-hydrolyzed TiCl precursor solution even though it is difficult to fabricate crack-free inverse opals through conventional solution drop-casting sol-gel process. Here, mechanically robust polystyrene (PS) colloidal crystal template in which PS particles are linked by polyvinylpyrrolidone bridges, were immersed in pre-hydrolyzed TiCl precursor solution to infiltrate the templates without inducing defects. By repeated soaking and drying process, and subsequent calcination, non-uniform and crack defects-free TiO inverse opal thin-films were fabricated reproducibly because PS templates immersed in the precursor solution experienced consistent fluid flow into their pores at uniform precursor concentration together with suppressed capillary pressure during drying as a result of low infiltration rate per cycle.

Unmet medical needs and influencing factors among Korean police officers: a cross-sectional survey.

Objectives: South Korea grapples with a disproportionately high incidence of unmet medical needs, a concern that is particularly acute among police officers, who are exposed to significant occupational risks. Given the pivotal role of police officers in upholding democratic values and public safety, their well-being holds critical societal implications. This study aims to determine the incidence of unmet medical needs among police officers and identify the influencing factors.

Factors and age-related drivers that influence self-rated bad health in police officers: A cross-sectional study.

Objective: Although some previous studies have investigated health in police officers, investigations of related factors have been limited to work-related associations or those affecting certain police officers. To address this gap, this study investigated relationships between sociodemographic factors, work-related factors, health behaviors, health conditions, and self-rated bad health (SRBH) in Korean police officers.

Methods: In 2021, we conducted a cross-sectional survey in cooperation with the Korean National Police Agency (KNPA).

Changes in walking practice and associated factors during the coronavirus disease 2019 pandemic.

The coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic has induced many lifestyle changes, with reductions in healthy activities, including walking. The aim of this cross-sectional study was to identify strategies to maintain good health during a pandemic. Demographics, walking habits, health behaviors, health status, recognition of social capital, and changes in walking practice of 800 residents were evaluated using a structured questionnaire.

Acculturation stress and mental health among the marriage migrant women in Busan, South Korea.

Our study investigated mental health and associated factors, especially acculturation stress and coping resources, among "marriage migrant" women. Cross-sectional data were collected for 501 marriage migrant women, about 10 % of those living in Busan, South Korea. Acculturation stress, coping resources, sociodemographic factors were examined using structured questionnaires, and the General Health Questionnaire-28 was administered as a measure of mental health.

Polymer hollow particles with controllable holes in their surfaces.

Colloidal particles with hollow interiors play important roles in microencapsulation-a process that has found widespread use in applications such as controlled release of drugs, cosmetics, inks, pigments or chemical reagents; protection of biologically active species; and removal of pollutants. The hollow particles are most commonly prepared by coating the surfaces of colloidal templates with thin layers of the desired material (or its precursor), followed by selective removal of the templates by means of calcination or chemical etching. This simple and straightforward approach works for a variety of materials that include polymers, ceramics, composites and metals.
