Corrosion is considered as one of the main factors in the structural performance deterioration of steel members. In this study, experimental and numerical methods were used to assess the reduction in compressive strength of short tubular steel columns with artificially fabricated local corrosion damage. The corrosion damage was varied with different depths, heights, circumferences, and locations along the column.

Innate immune signaling of plants is initiated by pattern recognition receptors (PRRs) at the plasma membrane. Upon pathogen attack, PRRs recognize pathogen-associated molecular patterns (PAMPs) via ectodomain and lead to signaling cascade via cytoplasmic kinase domain. PAMP-triggered immunity (PTI) activates basal defense responses sufficient to confer broad-spectrum disease resistance by inhibiting pathogen entry and growth.

A high-throughput plant phenotyping system automatically observes and grows many plant samples. Many plant sample images are acquired by the system to determine the characteristics of the plants (populations). Stable image acquisition and processing is very important to accurately determine the characteristics.

In this paper, analysis of temperature distribution by fiber orientation variation under tension test was proposed through IR thermography camera. Lock-in method, which is one of technique in IR thermography camera to measure minute change in temperature, was utilized to monitor temperature distribution and change during crack propagation. Method to analyze of temperature distribution by fiber orientation variation under tension test of GFRP via IR thermography camera was suggested.

Aim: To report a case of branch retinal artery obstruction (BRAO) complicated after anterior ischemic optic neuropathy (AION).

Methods: A 42 year-old woman who complained of visual disturbance was performed ophthalmological examinations such as fundus photography, fluorescent angiography (FAG) and visual field test.

Results: At first visit, disc swelling was noted and arterial circulation was intact, however, 1 week after onset, the inferior branch retinal artery began to shrink and the flame hemorrhage intensified.

Purpose: To report the incidence and the factors of consecutive esotropia (ET) in patients with immediate postoperative overcorrection of at least 17 prism diopters (PD) after surgery for intermittent exotropia (X(T)).

Methods: Four-hundred-five patients under the age of 18 were included in this study. They underwent bilateral lateral rectus recession (LROU-rec) or unilateral recession-resection (R&R) for X(T).
