We sought to compare the diagnostic efficacy of a 72-hour wearable electrocardiography (ECG) patch monitoring with a conventional 24-hour Holter monitoring for the detection of cardiogenic vertigo. We conducted a prospective multicenter study that recruited 47 patients suspected of cardiogenic vertigo in four referral-based university hospitals between November 2019 and April 2022. Patients received simultaneous ambulatory ECG recordings using a 72-hour wearable ECG patch monitoring and a conventional 24-hour Holter monitor.

Methods And Results: Data were obtained from a multicenter registry of ILR in Korea (2017-2020, n = 795).
Aims: To investigate plasma apixaban concentrations and thrombin generation assay (TGA) parameters across different apixaban doses in atrial fibrillation patients who had dose-reduction criteria for apixaban.
Methods: This observational study included 374 patients (mean age 75.6 ± 7.
Background: There is limited research on the intra-individual efficacy of ventricular pacing minimization algorithms developed by Biotronik-the Ventricular Pace Suppression algorithm (VpS) and the Intrinsic Rhythm Support plus algorithm (IRSplus) (BIOTRONIK SE & Co. KG, Berlin, Germany). We performed a randomized pilot trial that evaluated the efficacy of two algorithms in patients with symptomatic sinus node dysfunction (SND) who received a dual-chamber pacemaker.

Aims: Idiopathic ventricular fibrillation (IVF) is a disease in which the cause of ventricular fibrillation cannot be identified despite comprehensive clinical evaluation. This study aimed to investigate the clinical yield and implications of genetic testing for IVF.
Methods And Results: This study was based on the multi-centre inherited arrhythmia syndrome registry in South Korea from 2014 to 2017.
Background: The ability of adenosine stress myocardial contrast echocardiography (AS-MCE) to reveal decreased coronary blood flow or perfusion defects (PDs) has not been explored for clinical implications after coronary revascularization. This study sought to identify the prognostic value of PDs in asymptomatic patients following percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI).
Methods: We retrospectively analyzed 342 asymptomatic patients (67 years of mean age, 72% male) who underwent PCI with stents at least 9 months before AS-MCE between May 2019 and December 2020.
Background And Objectives: Inherited arrhythmia (IA) is a more common cause of sudden cardiac death in Asian population, but little is known about the genetic background of Asian IA probands. We aimed to investigate the clinical characteristics and analyze the genetic underpinnings of IA in a Korean cohort.
Methods: This study was conducted in a multicenter cohort of the Korean IA Registry from 2014 to 2017.
Introduction: Although left atrial wall thickness (LAWT) is known to be varied, a fixed target Ablation Index (AI) based pulmonary vein isolation (PVI) has been suggested in catheter ablation for atrial fibrillation (AF). We aimed to evaluate the efficacy and safety of PVI applying tailored AI based on LAWT assessed by cardiac computed tomography (CT).
Methods: The thick segment was defined as the segment including ≥LAWT grade 3 (≥1.
Background: The real-world outcomes of edoxaban treatment in patients with atrial fibrillation (AF) were analyzed in the ETNA-AF (Edoxaban Treatment in Routine Clinical Practice) study involving data from multiple regional registries. This report addresses effectiveness and safety of edoxaban in the Korean ETNA-AF population.
Methods: One-year data from 1887 Korean ETNA-AF participants were analyzed according to edoxaban dose and patient age and compared with results of other ETNA-AF registries.
The mechanism of premature ventricular complexes (PVC) occurring in the ventricular outflow tract (OT) is related to an intracellular calcium overload and delayed afterdepolarizations that lead to triggered activity. The guidelines recommend using beta-blockers and flecainide for idiopathic PVCs, but they also acknowledge the limited evidence supporting this recommendation. We conducted a multicenter, randomized, open-label pilot study comparing the effect of carvedilol and flecainide on OT PVC, which are widely used to treat this arrhythmia.

Objectives: The authors performed this prospective study to investigate changes in coronary flow indexes and plaque parameters, and their associations with atorvastatin therapy in patients with coronary artery disease (CAD).
Methods: Ninety-five patients with intermediate CAD who received atorvastatin therapy underwent comprehensive physiological assessments with fractional flow reserve (FFR), coronary flow reserve, index of microcirculatory resistance, and intravascular ultrasound at the index procedure, and underwent the same evaluations at 12-month follow-up.
Background Atrial fibrillation (AF) is associated with an increased risk of poor cardiovascular outcomes; appropriate rhythm control can reduce the incidence of these adverse events. Therefore, catheter ablation is recommended in symptomatic patients with AF. The aims of this study were to compare AF-related outcomes according to a baseline symptom scale score and to determine the best treatment strategy for asymptomatic patients with AF.

Methods And Results: Patients with de novo HFrEF who used Sac/Val between June 2017 and October 2019 were retrospectively enrolled. Patients were grouped into the earlier use group (initiation of Sac/Val < 3 months after the first HFrEF diagnosis) and the later use group (initiation of Sac/Val ≥ 3 months after the first HFrEF diagnosis).
To assess the utility of machine learning (ML) algorithms in predicting clinically relevant atrial high-rate episodes (AHREs), which can be recorded by a pacemaker. We aimed to develop ML-based models to predict clinically relevant AHREs based on the clinical parameters of patients with implanted pacemakers in comparison to logistic regression (LR). We included 721 patients without known atrial fibrillation or atrial flutter from a prospective multicenter (11 tertiary hospitals) registry comprising all geographical regions of Korea from September 2017 to July 2020.

We enrolled 8159 AF patients from the CODE-AF registry. The primary outcome was rate of stroke or systemic embolism (SSE).

We evaluated the acute and long-term efficacy of higher-powered ablation guided by ablation index (HPAI) compared with conventional-powered ablation guided by AI (CPAI) for pulmonary vein isolation (PVI) in patients with atrial fibrillation (AF).
Methods: Drug refractory symptomatic AF patients who had been ablated with 40 W on the anterior/roof segments and 30 W on the posterior/inferior/carina segments were enrolled (HPAI group).
Background And Objectives: As the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) spreads worldwide, cardiac injury in patients infected with COVID-19 becomes a significant concern. Thus, this study investigates the impact of several electrocardiogram (ECG) parameters and disease severity in COVID-19 patients.
Methods: Seven medical centers in Daegu admitted 822 patients with COVID-19 between February and April 2020.
The muscular discontinuities at the pulmonary vein (PV)-left atrial (LA) junction are known. The high-density mapping may help to find the muscular discontinuity. This study evaluated the efficacy of a partial antral ablation for a pulmonary vein (PV) isolation using high density (HD) mapping.
