To evaluate the safety and efficacy of a radiofrequency ablation system with a novel endometrial tip (RFA-EMT) for the management of heavy menstrual bleeding (HMB) or abnormal uterine bleeding (AUB). This is a prospective study including a total of 38 premenopausal women with heavy menstrual bleeding (HMB) or abnormal uterine bleeding (AUB) that failed to respond to medical therapy. Hysteroscopic evaluation and curettage biopsy were performed just before the procedure.

Herein, we report a simple one-step dibutylhydroxytoluene (BHT) additive-based approach for simultaneously improving the crystallinity and resistance of perovskite films under adverse degradation conditions. We found that BHT, commonly known for its antioxidant properties, can considerably improve the performance of methylammonium lead iodide perovskite solar cells by modulating the chemical environment within the precursor medium to form intermediate complexes, and it can also suppress photooxidation, which results in perovskite degradation under environmental operating conditions.

The clinical findings typical of this tumor include slow growth, perineural invasion and high frequency of local recurrence. In this study, a patient presented with a tongue base lesion that was treated with surgical excision and additional postoperative external beam radiotherapy.

Recently, radiofrequency (RF)-assisted lipolysis and liposuction (RFAL) has been introduced for body and face contouring. This study aimed to evaluate the clinical improvement and safety of a new RFAL device for face lifting and contouring.

Objective: The aim of this study was to investigate the efficacy and safety of oral alitretinoin in Korean CHE patients.
Although squamous cell carcinoma (SCC) is the second most common nonmelanoma skin cancer, clinicians have difficulty diagnosing SCC of the toe because its clinical features can mimic other less serious diseases. Clinicians are especially prone to misdiagnose SCC of the toe as diabetic foot ulcer in patients with diabetes mellitus because of the clinical similarity of the 2 ailments. SCC of the toe is generally considered to have a low risk of metastasis.

It mainly occurs in adults and is frequently associated with systemic diseases, most commonly inflammatory bowel disease, rheumatologic disease, or hematological dyscrasias. However, there have been no previous reports of PG in a patient with hereditary spherocytosis, a common inherited hemolytic anemia.

However, hyperkeratotic plantar lesions are clinically rare and have decreased responsiveness to topical agents. For such cases, physicians may consider local radiotherapy.

Despite extensive studies on its multiple functions, little is known about how the activity of Pax5 is regulated. Here, we show that co-expression of histone acetyltransferase E1A binding protein p300 dramatically enhances Pax5-mediated transcriptional activation.

To study STIM1-ORAI1 signaling in vitro, we have expressed human ORAI1 in a sec6-4 strain of the yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae and isolated sealed membrane vesicles carrying ORAI1 from the Golgi compartment to the plasma membrane. We show by in vitro Ca(2+) flux assays that bacterially expressed recombinant STIM1 opens wild-type ORAI1 channels but not channels assembled from the ORAI1 pore mutant E106Q or the ORAI1 severe combined immunodeficiency (SCID) mutant R91W.

KBH-A145 markedly inhibited histone deacetylase (HDAC) activity in vitro and in vivo to an extent comparable to suberoyl-anilide hydroxamic acid (SAHA). The proliferation of various types of cancers was significantly suppressed by KBH-A145, among which MDA-MB-231 and MCF, human breast cancer cells and ACHN human renal cancer cells, were most sensitive.

Transforming growth factor-beta (TGF-beta) induces Foxp3 and suppressive T(reg) cells from naive T cells, whereas interleukin 6 (IL-6) inhibits the generation of inducible T(reg) cells. Here we show that IL-4 blocked the generation of TGF-beta-induced Foxp3(+) T(reg) cells and instead induced a population of T helper cells that produced IL-9 and IL-10.
