The influence of nanoparticle (NP) size on the physical characteristics of sintered silver NP ink was studied using four different types of inks. The Ag NP inks were spin-coated on glass substrates with an average thickness of 300 nm. Each sample was sintered for 30 min, with temperatures from 50 °C to 400 °C by an interval of 50 °C.

An efficient synthesis of dihydrostilbenes (1-5) and diarylpropanes (6-10) is achieved from the commercially available starting materials and Wittig-Horner reaction, Claisen-Schmidt condensation and hydrogenation as key steps. Later, their nitric oxide (NO) production inhibition effects were evaluated in lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-induced RAW-264.7 macrophages as an indicator of anti-inflammatory activity.

Liquid chromatography in conjunction with tandem mass spectrometry was used to directly quantify of 47 pesticide residues from cooked wheat flour and polished rice, which are the most widely consumed cereals in the Republic of Korea. The sample clean-up was carried out according to the method established by the Korea Food and Drug Administration. The mobile phase for liquid chromatography separation consisted of water and 5 mm methanolic ammonium formate.

Mechanical characterization of protein molecules has played a role on gaining insight into the biological functions of proteins, because some proteins perform the mechanical function. Here, we present the mesoscopic model of biological protein materials composed of protein crystals prescribed by Go potential for characterization of elastic behavior of protein materials. Specifically, we consider the representative volume element (RVE) containing the protein crystals represented by C(alpha) atoms, prescribed by Go potential, with application of constant normal strain to RVE.
