Alzheimer's disease (AD) pathogenesis has been associated with the gut microbiome and its metabolites, though the specific mechanisms have remained unclear. In our study, we used a multi-omics approach to identify specific microbial strains and metabolites that could potentially mitigate amyloidopathy in 5xFAD mice, a widely used model for AD research. Among the microbial strains tested, three showed promising results in reducing soluble amyloid-beta (Aβ) levels.

Patients who underwent percutaneous nephrostomy (PCN) with OAPN-US were retrospectively evaluated. Recursive feature elimination (RFE) was applied to patients with and without septic shock to identify factors associated with the prediction of progression to septic shock.

Conventional solid electrolyte frameworks typically consist of anions such as sulphur, oxygen, chlorine, and others, leading to inherent limitations in their properties. Despite the emergence of sulphide, oxide, and halide-based solid electrolytes for all-solid-state batteries, their utilization is hampered by issues, including the evolution of H S gas, the need for expensive elements, and poor contact. Here, we first introduce Prussian Blue analogue (PBA) open-framework structures as a solid electrolyte that demonstrates appreciable Na conductivity (>10 mS cm ).

The microbiome is linked to gastrointestinal (GI) tract cancer. The purpose of this study was to determine if there is a common microbiome among GI tract cancers and how the microbiome affects the disease.

Changes in the distribution and prevalence of certain microbial species on the skin, such as (SA), can impact the development of severe atopic dermatitis (AD) or psoriasis (Pso). A dysfunctional skin barrier develops in AD and Pso due to SA colonization, resulting in keratinization and chronic or progressive chronic inflammation.

The skin supports a diverse microbiome whose imbalance is related to skin inflammation and diseases. Exposure to fine particulate matter (PM), a major air pollutant, can adversely affect the skin microbiota equilibrium. In this study, the effect and mechanism of PM exposure in HaCaT keratinocytes were investigated.

Also, immune checkpoints (ICPs) are enthusiastically investigated for anti-tumor immunotherapy. Recent studies show potential of gut microbiome and gut cytokines as biomarkers for carcinogenesis and response prediction of immune checkpoint inhibitor (ICI) response.
