View Article and Find Full Text PDFBackground: Cutaneous lichen planus (LP) is a recalcitrant, difficult-to-treat, inflammatory skin disease characterized by pruritic, flat-topped, violaceous papules on the skin. Baricitinib is an oral Janus kinase (JAK) 1/2 inhibitor that interrupts the signaling pathway of interferon gamma (IFN)-γ, a cytokine implicated in the pathogenesis of LP.
Methods: In this phase II trial, twelve patients with cutaneous LP received baricitinib 2 mg daily for 16 weeks, accompanied by in-depth spatial, single-cell, and bulk transcriptomic profiling of pre- and post-treatment samples.

Background: To date, global priorities for new vaccine R&D have not been systematically identified for endemic pathogens. As part of Immunisation Agenda 2030 (IA2030), we have systematically identified priority endemic pathogens for new vaccine R&D based on country and regional stakeholder values to address this need.
Methods: MCDA surveys targeting policy makers and immunisation stakeholders in each World Health Organization (WHO) region were used to weight eight criteria for prioritisation.

Methods: A hybrid approach was used, incorporating in-person assessment of quality of life and functional capacity (6-min walk test and timed sit-to-stand test), and a personalised home exercise programme with remotely delivered physiotherapist support pre/post-admission.
Results: Functional deficits were prevalent at referral for CAR-T.

Objectives: To develop an intrinsic capacity (IC) score and to investigate the association between IC transition with overall and cause-specific mortality, incident disability and healthcare utilization.
Design: Retrospective cohort study SETTING AND PARTICIPANTS: Data from 1852 respondents aged ≥ 65 years who completed the 1999 and 2003 surveys of the Taiwan Longitudinal Study on Aging were analyzed.
Measurements: Transitions of IC score were categorized into three groups: (1) Improved IC (IC >0), (2) Stable IC (IC = 0), (3) Worsened IC (IC <0).

We implemented a test simulating a real-world mobility situation, focusing on detection of a colliding pedestrian among multiple noncolliding pedestrians, suitable for measuring the effects of homonymous hemianopia and assistive devices in clinical trials.
Purpose: In preparation for deploying the test in a multisite clinical trial, we conducted a pilot study to gather preliminary data on blind-side collision detection performance with multiperiscopic peripheral prisms compared with Fresnel peripheral prisms.
Introduction: A risk factor for a potentially fatal ventricular arrhythmia Torsade de Pointes is a prolongation in the heart rate-corrected QT interval (QTc) ≥ 500 milliseconds (ms) or an increase of ≥ 60 ms from a patient's baseline value, which can cause sudden cardiac death. The Tisdale risk score calculator uses clinical variables to predict which hospitalized patients are at the highest risk for QTc prolongation.
