Forest carbon markets have demonstrated numerous benefits across economic, social, and environmental dimensions, while also advancing sustainable development goals. This study examines the primary policy mechanisms and conditions related to the development of high-integrity forest carbon markets in Dak Lak province, Vietnam. Utilizing a combination of SWOT analysis and the DPSIR framework, the study provides a comprehensive evaluation of the opportunities, challenges, driving forces, pressures, potential impacts, and responses associated with developing these markets.

We are reporting a short and convenient pathway for the synthesis of novel β-carboline-bisindole hybrid compounds from relatively cheap and commercially available chemicals such as tryptamine, dialdehydes and indoles. These newly designed compounds can also be prepared in high yields with the tolerance of many functional groups under mild conditions. Notably, these β-carboline-bisindole hybrid compounds exhibited some promising applications as anticancer agents against the three common cancer cell lines MCF-7 (breast cancer), SK-LU-1 (lung cancer), and HepG2 (liver cancer).

Sildenafil is an inhibitor of the phosphodiesterase type 5 which is commonly adulterated in herbal health products. In this study, a rapid, sensitive and selective method using thin layer chromatography (TLC) combined with surface-enhanced Raman spectroscopy (SERS) was developed for identification of sildenafil adulteration in herbal drugs and dietary supplements.
