Objective: The objective of this study was to characterize exclusive costal lesions detected by 68 Gallium-labelled prostate-specific membrane antigen ([ 68 Ga]Ga-PSMA-11) PET/computed tomography (CT) at initial staging or biochemical recurrence (BCR) in prostate cancer (PCa) patients, and to identify clinical and/or PET/CT criteria associated with benign and malignant lesions.

Methods: We retrospectively identified 54 patients with PCa who underwent [ 68 Ga]Ga-PSMA-11 PET/CT for initial staging ( N  = 39) or BCR ( N  = 15) and whose reports described rib lesions, at the exclusion of any other lesions, whether doubtful, suspicious, or established. Posttherapy prostate-specific antigen (PSA) levels were used to determine whether those lesions were benign or malignant.

The 2-deoxy-2-[F]fluoro-D-glucose positron emission tomography combined with computed tomography (PET/CT) has contributed to outcome improvement of patients with lymphoma. The use of [F]FDG PET/CT for staging and response assessment is successfully applied both in routine clinical practice and in clinical trials. The primary objective of the present study was to identify a subset of radiomic features extracted from primary tumor imaged by computed tomography of early-stage non-small cell lung cancer patients, which remain unaffected by variations in segmentation quality and in computed tomography image acquisition protocol. The robustness of these features to segmentation variations was assessed by analyzing the correlation of feature values extracted from lesion volumes delineated by two annotators. The robustness to variations in acquisition protocol was evaluated by examining the correlation of features extracted from high-dose and low-dose computed tomography scans, both of which were acquired for each patient as part of the stereotactic body radiotherapy planning process.

Abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA) is a chronic inflammatory disease that poses several challenges. Given the increasing evidence that AAA patients are more likely to develop cancer and the importance of its early detection, we strived to develop a non-invasive tool based on serial FDG-PET/CT scan examinations to identify, among AAA patients, those at risk of cancer. Purpose: To evaluate the impact of dosimetric parameters on efficacy of stereotactic body radiation therapy (SBRT) in early-stage non-small cell lung cancer (ES-NSCLC), using Hypofractionated Treatment Effects in the Clinic (HyTEC) reporting standards.

Methods: From April 2010 to December 2020, 497 patients who received SBRT for ES-NSCLC at the University Hospital of Liège were retrospectively enrolled. A total dose of 40 to 60 Gy in 3-5 fractions (72-180 Gy biologically effective dose with an α/β ratio of 10 (BED)) was prescribed to the 80 % isodose line of the PTV.

Developments in artificial intelligence (AI), particularly machine learning and deep learning, in imaging sciences, including nuclear medecine, have led to significant enthusiasm for the concept of "rapid learning health system". Purpose: Long axial field-of-view (LAFOV) systems have a much higher sensitivity than standard axial field-of-view (SAFOV) PET systems for imaging the torso or full body, which allows faster and/or lower dose imaging. Despite its very high sensitivity, current total-body PET (TB-PET) throughput is limited by patient handling (positioning on the bed) and often a shortage of available personnel. This factor, combined with high system costs, makes it hard to justify the implementation of these systems for many academic and nearly all routine nuclear medicine departments.
