In recent decades, numerous studies have examined the effects of climate change on the responses of plants. These studies have primarily examined the effects of solitary stress on plants, neglecting the simultaneous effects of mixed stress, which are anticipated to transpire frequently as a result of the extreme climatic fluctuations. Therefore, this study investigated the impact of applied chitosan on boosting the resistance responses of peanuts to alkali and mixed drought-alkali stresses.

A crucial factor in the efficient design of concrete sustainable buildings is the compressive strength (Cs) of eco-friendly concrete. In this work, a hybrid model of Gradient Boosting Regression Tree (GBRT) with grid search cross-validation (GridSearchCV) optimization technique was used to predict the compressive strength, which allowed us to increase the precision of the prediction models. In addition, to build the proposed models, 164 experiments on eco-friendly concrete compressive strength were gathered for previous researches.

Hb Dhofar is a variant haemoglobin (beta(29 (GGC-GGT) gly-gly), beta(58 (CCT-CGT) pro-arg)) associated with a thalassaemic phenotype and unique to the Sultanate of Oman. We report clinical and haematological data on 54 subjects with Hb Dhofar (37 heterozygotes, 14 homozygotes and three compound heterozygotes with a different beta-thalassaemia mutation). In heterozygotes, the level of Hb Dhofar ranged from 8.
