The aim of this work was to assess the association of HLA-Cw with vitiligo in the Egyptian population. Forty unrelated patients with nonsegmental vitiligo and 20 matched controls were selected.

We described the clinical characteristics, pathological features, immunohistochemical profile and prognosis of HMF in Egyptian patients. During the period from January 2004 to December 2011, we were able to diagnose and follow up 27 patients with HMF.
