Scaffold serves as an important component of tissue engineering, which facilitates cell attachment, proliferation and differentiation of cultured cells. In this study we aimed to use platelet lysates as a substitute for FBS in culturing and proliferation of human adipose tissue-derived stromal cells (ASCs), which constitute a promising source for cell therapy. We characterized ASCs in the presence of PL, and then we seeded them onto poly(lactic-co-glycolic acid) (PLGA) scaffolds, osteogenic media was used to induce their proliferation and osteogenic differentiation.
