Purpose: To compare corneal haze between active ulcer and healed scarring using a Scheimpflug densitometry.
Materials And Methods: A prospective longitudinal study enrolled 30 patients (30 eyes) with ulcerative keratitis (UK). Each subject's corneal optical density (COD) was measured with a Scheimpflug corneal densitometry, Pentacam® AXL (Oculus GmbH, Wetzlar, Germany), at the active ulcerative and complete scarring stage.
Purpose: For this study, we aimed to determine whether a convolutional neural network (CNN)-based method (based on a feature extractor and an identifier) can be applied to monitor the progression of keratitis while managing suspected microbial keratitis (MK).
Methods: This multicenter longitudinal cohort study included patients with suspected MK undergoing serial external eye photography at the 5 branches of Chang Gung Memorial Hospital from August 20, 2000, to August 19, 2020. Data were primarily analyzed from January 1 to March 25, 2022.

Purpose: To evaluate a bacterial dot hybridization (BDH) assay for the diagnosis of bacterial keratitis (BK).
Methods: Sixty-one qualified corneal scrapings from 61 patients with suspected microbial keratitis were collected consecutively and prospectively. Among the 61 patients, 16 cases were BK and 45 cases were non-BK, including fungal keratitis, viral keratitis, parasitic keratitis, and non-microbial keratitis.

There is a high prevalence of myopia, 80% to 90%, in young adults in East Asia; myopia has become the leading cause of blindness in this area. Methods: Molecular detection of Acanthamoeba and herpes simplex virus in corneal scrapes was performed with the MDH assay and standard diagnostic methods. The experimental group included corneal scrapes (n = 33) from patients with culture- or pathology-confirmed AK (n = 15) and real-time PCR-confirmed HSK (n = 16).
We report a case of an iris tumor with muttonfat keratic precipitates in a young patient after liver transplantation surgery. A 6yearold girl underwent liver transplantation for congenital biliary atresia and was subsequently immunosuppressed with oral cyclosporine. We examined her 5 years after transplantation because of a "white nodule in her left eye," which had been detected by her father one day before visiting our clinic.
