Background: In metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer (mCRPC), using serum prostate-specific antigen (PSA) levels to evaluate treatment response is not always accurate. This study aimed to assess the efficacy of PSMA PET/CT at specific time points for evaluating treatment response and predicting survival in mCRPC patients, compared to PSA.
Methods: Sixty mCRPC patients underwent [F]PSMA-1007 PET/CT at baseline and for treatment response evaluation of either androgen receptor-targeted agents (after 3 months) or chemotherapy (after completion), and were retrospectively analysed.
Introduction: Cabozantinib is one of the preferred treatment options in the latest metastatic renal cell carcinoma (mRCC) guidelines. Cabozantinib is also associated with high drug expenses irrespective of the used dose, because a flat-prizing model has been implemented. In addition, concomitant intake with a high-fat meal increases its bioavailability on average by 57%.

Methods: Using Dutch nationwide statistics, individuals with incident AF (n = 320 139) or cancer (n = 472 745) were identified during the period 2015-19.
Purpose: The aim of this study was to investigate the biodistribution of (super-)selective trans-arterial radioembolization (TARE) with holmium-166 microspheres (Ho-MS), when administered as adjuvant therapy after RFA of HCC 2-5 cm. The objective was to establish a treatment volume absorbed dose that results in an absorbed dose of ≥ 120 Gy on the hyperemic zone around the ablation necrosis (i.e.

Methods: This study included n = 1457 male and n = 2112 female long-term survivors (M = 43-45 years; 5-22 years from diagnosis) who provided self-report. Clinical data were supplied by the Netherlands Cancer Registry.
Background: With increasing survival rates of adolescents and young adults (AYAs) with breast cancer, health-related quality of life (HRQoL) becomes more important. An important aspect of HRQoL is sexual QoL. This study examined long-term sexual QoL of AYA breast cancer survivors, compared sexual QoL scores with that of other AYA cancer survivors, and identified factors associated with long-term sexual QoL of AYA breast cancer survivors.

The aim of this study was to investigate the prevalence of (un)healthy lifestyle behaviors and related determinants in AYA cancer survivors.
Methods: A population-based, cross-sectional study was performed among long-term (5-20 years) AYA cancer survivors (18-39 years old at diagnosis) registered within the Netherlands Cancer Registry.
Purpose: Adolescent and young adult cancer survivors (AYAs) are at increased risk of long-term and late effects, and experience unmet needs, impacting their health-related quality of life (HRQoL). In order to provide and optimize supportive care and targeted interventions for this unique population, it is important to study HRQoL factors' interconnectedness on a population level. Therefore, this network analysis was performed with the aim to explore the interconnectedness between HRQoL factors, in the analysis described as nodes, among long-term AYAs.

Accelerated aging is hypothesized as underlying mechanism and has been described clinically by 6 indicators; fatigue, low quality of sleep, low mood, lack of motivation, subjective memory complaints, and poor exercise tolerance. Using patient-reported outcomes, we aimed to identify clusters of accelerated aging among AYA cancer survivors and to investigate their association with second cancer development.

Aim: To externally validate the performance of 4PEPS in an independent cohort.
Methods: In this post-hoc analysis of the prospective diagnostic management YEARS study, the primary outcome measures were discrimination, calibration, efficiency (proportion of imaging tests potentially avoided), and failure rate (venous thromboembolism (VTE) diagnosis at baseline or follow-up in patients with a negative 4PEPS algorithm).
Background And Aims: Cancer provides challenges to the continuity of anticoagulant treatment in patients with atrial fibrillation (AF), e.g. through cancer-related surgery or complications.

Hence, many questions are still unanswered and await further research. A nationwide collaborative registry allows to collect corresponding data.

Objectives: We aimed to determine incidence, predictors and prognosis of TE after incident CRC in a large, unselected population.
Background: Despite growing (inter)national awareness and appreciation, age-specific care is still not always self-evident and accepted as standard of care for adolescent and young adult (AYA) cancer patients. It is unknown whether long-term AYA cancer survivors have missed age-specific care, and if so, which survivors missed it and regarding which topics.
Methods: The Netherlands Cancer Registry (NCR) identified all long-term AYA cancer survivors (aged 18-39 years at initial cancer diagnosis, 5-20 years past diagnosis) in the Netherlands, who were invited to participate in a population-based, observational, cross-sectional questionnaire study (SURVAYA study), including questions on care needs.

Background: Cancer is suggested to confer thromboembolic and bleeding risk in patients with atrial fibrillation (AF).
Objectives: We aimed to describe current anticoagulant practice in patients with AF and active cancer, present incidences of thromboembolic and bleeding complications, and evaluate the association between cancer type or anticoagulant management strategy with AF-related complications.
Methods: This retrospective study identified patients with AF and active cancer in 2 hospitals between January 1, 2012, and December 31, 2017.
Background: Renal cell carcinoma (RCC) can be complicated by a venous tumor thrombus (TT), of which the optimal management is unknown.
Objectives: This study sought to assess the prevalence of TT in RCC, its current management, and its association with venous thromboembolism (VTE), arterial thromboembolism (ATE), major bleeding (MB), and mortality.
Methods: Patients diagnosed with RCC between 2010 and 2019 in our hospital were included and followed from RCC diagnosis until 2 years after, or until an outcome of interest (VTE, ATE, and MB) or death occurred, depending on the analysis.
Adolescent and young adult (AYA) cancer survivors (18-39 years at diagnosis) often experience negative body changes such as scars, amputation, and disfigurement. Understanding which factors influence body image among AYA survivors can improve age-specific care in the future. Therefore, we aim to examine the prevalence, and association of a negative body image with sociodemographic, clinical, and psychosocial factors, among AYA cancer survivors (5-20 years after diagnosis).
