Mesenchymal stem cells are frequently utilized in the study of regenerative medicine. Electric fields (EFs) influence many biological processes, such as cell proliferation, migration and differentiation. In the present study, a novel device capable of delivering a direct current of EF stimulation to cells cultured is described.

This study aimed to investigate the effect of hypoxia on the anti-inflammatory effect of adipose-derived mesenchymal stem cells (AMSCs) in vitro and its possible mechanism. AMSCs were cultured in vitro in a hypoxic environment with 3% O, and a normoxic (21% O) environment was used as the control. The cells were identified by in vitro adipogenic and osteogenic differentiation and cell surface antigen detection, and the cell viability were detected.

Background: Shenfu Injection (SFI) is a promising alternative treatment for heart failure (HF) in China. Many complete clinical trials have examined the efficacy of SFI combined use with conventional treatment (CT) vs CT alone. This study is to conduct a systematic review and meta-analysis of randomized clinical trials to evaluate the benefits and risks of using SFI in addition to CT for the treatment of HF.

Background: Clinical Practice Guidelines (CPGs) play an important role in clinical practice, and they require appropriate evaluation, especially in application. This study explores the application evaluation method of CPGs for Traditional Chinese Medicines (TCM). It uses the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) and clinical cases to evaluate the consistency between CPGs of TCM and clinical practice.
