The vanadium (V) toxicity predominantly is the primary limitation in restraining pepper growth. The silicon (Si) in pepper plants induced the transcript level of the polyamines metabolism pathway genes, including the arginase (CbARG), ornithine decarboxylase (CbODC), arginine decarboxylase (CbADC), N-carbamoylputrescine amidase (CbNCA), Spermidine synthase (CbSPDS), copper binding diamine oxidase (CbCuAO) to overcome the V toxicity. The polyamines, including the Spm, Spd, and Put, induced with Si about 41.

While the activator MYB's role in spiciness regulation is well-established, the involvement of repressor MYB factors remains unexplored. This study identified the MYB4 transcription factor through RNA-seq and genome-wide analysis as being associated with spiciness.

Here, we explored the putative roles of silicon in repressing drought mechanisms in pepper and the prominent involvement of secondary metabolites, GA pathway, and photosystem II. Our research revealed that the transcript level of the flavonoid biosynthesis-associated genes, including the PAL, 4-CL, CHS, FLS-1, F3H and DFR, progressively induced in the pepper leaves treated with silicon during the drought stress duration.

It is important to study differential genotypic variation through phenotypic differences of target traits. Whole genome resequencing was used to sequence the whole genome among different individuals of species with known reference genomes and annotations, and based on this, differential analyses of individuals or populations were carried out to identify SNPs for agronomic traits related to pepper.

Drought stress (DS) has always been a problem for the growth and development of crops, causing significant negative impacts on crop productivity. Strigolactone (SL) is a newly discovered class of plant hormones that are involved in plants' growth and development and environmental stresses.

Strigolactone (SL), a relatively new plant hormone, has shown promise in alleviating drought-related symptoms in pepper plants. However, there is limited knowledge on how SL affects the gene expression in peppers when exposed to drought stress (DS) after the foliar application of SL.

In the present study, (HNUCB81 and HNUCB226) and (HNUCC22 and HNUCC16) were analyzed to reveal callus initiation by regeneration, histology, and transcriptome. We successfully established an efficient regeneration system of two cultivars to monitor the callus induction of differential genotypes, and the regenerated plants were obtained.

In agricultural environments, nickel (Ni) is becoming a hazardous element. The present study was performed to characterize the toxicity symptoms of Ni in pepper seedlings exposed to different concentrations of Ni.

However, their persistence in the environment, hazardous nature, and potential for bioaccumulation and long-range transport have alarmed an increasing number of scholars and research institutions. Although several literature reviews on PFASs research exist, only a few of them have considered bibliometric indices.

Methods: Six publication indicators were examined across authors, institutions, and countries.
Results: Analyses showed that the United States has produced the highest number of empirical investigations into the psychological impact of COVID-19, and the majority of the research across all countries was in clinical and psychopathology.
The present study aimed to investigate the potential of simple sugars for use as protection agents in the control of tomato bacterial wilt caused by Ralstonia pseudosolanacearum. Based on the sugar assimilation patterns of the pathogen, four unassimilable sugars (L-arabinose, maltose, D-raffinose, and D-ribose) were selected from 10 representative sugars present in tomato root exudates. These sugars were evaluated for their effects on bacterial wilt using a tomato seedling bioassay.

Fifty heat-tolerant endophytic bacteria were isolated from the surface-sterilized foliar tissues of symptomless tomato plants that had been pre-inoculated with the pathogen Ralstonia pseudosolanacearum. In the primary screening, we assessed the suppressive effects of a shoot-dipping treatment with bacterial strains against bacterial wilt on tomato seedlings grown on peat pellets.

The investigation of municipal solid waste (MSW) treatment in China is rare due to its sensitivity and difficulty in terms of access. We chose Beijing, the capital of China, as an example to identify the characteristics of MSW landfill treatments using a 2-month investigation with 20 participants. MSW landfill treatments account for nearly 70% of the annual MSW disposal in Beijing; the landfill processes are equipped with many kinds of technologies and consume a large amount of energy and produce a variety of contaminants.
