The CR-39 solid-state nuclear track detector is a commonly used instrument for passively measuring radon. When using CR-39 to measure the radon exhalation rate from the surface of a medium, the effects of leakage are often overlooked. However, to a certain extent, system leakage can affect the accuracy of the measurement results.

The primary focus of this particular research endeavor was to elucidate the mechanism of action of LINC01232 within the context of prostate cancer, specifically examining how it influences the proliferation of prostate cancer cells by interacting with the miR-181a-5p/IRS2 pathway. Additionally, the study aimed to delve deeper into the role of the Ki-67 protein within this intricate process.

However, the mechanism underlying retinal cell-specific effects of LHON-linked mtDNA mutations remains poorly understood and there has been no effective treatment or cure for this disorder. Using a mice model bearing a LHON-linked ND6P25L mutation, we demonstrated that the mutation caused retinal cell-specific deficiencies, especially in retinal ganglion cells (RGC), rods and Müller cells.

Peony seed oil is one of the most abundant n-3 PUFAs in oils. but the mechanism of peony seed oil affecting inflammation in mice brains is still lacking convincing evidence.

Background: is the etiological agent of mycoplasmal pneumonia of swine (MPS). Commercial vaccines provide partial protection and do not prevent the colonization and transmission of . The bottleneck in the development of more effective vaccines for MPS is the stimulation of effective immune responses in the host.

This study investigated the effects of five oleic acid-based lipids (oleic acid, monoolein, diolein, triolein, and rapeseed oil) and thermomechanical treatment on the structural and physicochemical properties of wheat starch. The crystal patterns and complexing indices showed that thermomechanical treatment promoted the formation of oleic acid, monoolein, and diolein V-type starch-lipid complexes with an intact granular structure, whereas triolein and rapeseed oil formed complexes with starch.

Methods: Publications related to RA immunotherapy were retrieved from Web of Science Core Collection database using specified search terms. Bibliometric analysis was performed with VOSviewer, CiteSpace, Pajek, and R packages to examine publication patterns, international collaborations, research hotspots, and emerging trends.
Background: Acute pneumonia is a kind of widespread inflammatory pathological process. Dihydrocaffeic acid (DA), metabolite of chlorogenic acid, possesses potent pharmacologic activity for the therapy of a wide range of disorders and various biological properties, such as anti-inflammation. Nevertheless, the specific protein targets and potential molecular mechanisms of DA in acute pneumonia are still poorly understood.

The majority of current case reports of PBSCC are triple-negative tumors with poor prognosis. Due to its heterogeneous clinical course, no unified management is achieved.

Its clinical course varies considerably due to the highly heterogeneous tumour microenvironment (TME). Decomposing the complex TME from histological images into its constituent parts is crucial for evaluating its patterns and enhancing GC therapies.

Therefore, the identification of new and effective biomarkers for NSCLC is crucial for the development of treatment strategies. Immunogenic cell death (ICD), a form of regulated cell death capable of activating adaptive immune responses and generating long-term immune memory, holds promise for enhancing anti-tumor immunity and offering promising prospects for immunotherapy strategies in NSCLC.

Cyanobacteria represent a prevalent category of photosynthetic autotrophs capable of generating deleterious algal blooms, commonly known as cyanobacteria harmful algal blooms (cyanoHABs). These blooms often produce cyanotoxins, which pose risks to public health and ecosystems by contaminating surface waters and drinking water sources. Traditional treatment methods have limited effectiveness.

First, instructing by the Joanna Briggs Institute (JBI) Evidence-Based Healthcare model and systematically reviewing literature related to the prevention and treatment of perioperative hypothermia in Da Vinci robot-assisted surgery patients in the urological surgical patients from guideline-related websites and professional association websites. Second, carrying out the qualitative interviews, which were conducted with medical staff in the urology department and the Da Vinci robot-assisted surgery team in a teaching hospital.

Herein, a self-supported hybrid catalyst (NiFeCrS/NF) with high electrocatalytic activity was designed and constructed using conductive nickel foam as a substrate via manipulation of the cation doping ratio of transition metal compounds. Due to the strong coupling synergy between the metal sulfides NiS, FeS, and CrS, as well as their interaction with the conductive nickel foam (NF), the energy barrier for catalytic reactions is reduced, and the charge transfer rate is enhanced.

Inspired by camouflage-colored organisms, the development of bio-camouflage systems using electrochromic (EC) technology has gained significant interest. However, existing EC systems struggle with achieving a wide color gamut, noniridescent colors, and self-sustainability. Herein, a self-sustainable color-adaptive bio-camouflage system integrating EC and nanogenerator (NG) technologies, enabling environmental color adaptation, and thermal regulation without an external power source is proposed.

The results demonstrated that and acorns were suitable as raw materials to extract ellagic acid, the contents of ferulic acid and bound gallic acid in them were different, and acorns were more suitable for the research of gallic acid, but not for azelaic acid. Results on APP/PS1 transgenic mice verified that five polyphenols significantly suppressed the progression of AD.
