Increasing evidence has demonstrated that sPRR [a truncated soluble form of (pro)renin receptor] levels may reflect the severity of several diseases, including kidney disease, hypertension, and heart failure (HF). Although previous studies using cohorts primarily consisting of HF patients with reduced ejection fraction revealed that increased plasma sPRR levels may be a promising evaluative indicator for HF, definitive information on the relationship between plasma sPRR levels and HF patients with preserved ejection fraction (HFpEF) is still insufficient and scarce. Biothiols are the main antioxidants in regulating the redox balance and resisting oxidative stress in various biological processes, but the long detection time of current fluorescent probes hinders their rapid imaging in vitro and in vivo. To reveal the influx of biothiols, we rationally develop an ortho-activation approach to accelerate the reaction between the probe and biothiols, by introducing electron-withdrawing fluorine atom into the ortho-site of the phenolic hydroxyl group in the NIR probe to generate an ortho-inductive effect. The ortho-fluorine helps to increase the chemical reactivity of the molecular structure, resulting in a significantly shorter detection time (within 5 min) as compared to previous reports (> 20 min for acrylates-based probes in aqueous solution).

To meet the comprehensive demand for flexible microwave absorbing (MA) materials, a novel MA rubber containing homemade Polypyrrole nanotube (PPyNT) is produced based on the natural rubber (NR) and acrylonitrile-butadiene rubber (NBR) blends. Recent reports focus on the hydrogenation engineering of monolayer boron phosphide and simultaneously explore its promising applications in nanoelectronics. Coupling density functional theory and finite element method, we investigate the bowtie triangle ring microstructure composed of boron phosphide with hydrogenation based on structural and performance analysis. We determine the carrier mobility of hydrogenated boron phosphide, reveal the effect of structural and material parameters on resonance frequencies, and discuss the variation of the electric field at the two tips.
