In order to elucidate the digestion, absorption and metabolism mechanism, Hohenbuehelia serotina polysaccharides were successfully labelled by fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC-Tyr-HSP), with the fluorescent substitution degree of 0.37 %. FITC-Tyr-HSP with excellent physiological stability possessed the significant fluorescent characteristics, which could be dynamically monitored by in vivo fluorescence imaging and high performance gel permeation chromatography-fluorescence detector (HPGPC-FLD).

The escalating global demand for food and industrialization has placed significant pressure on the integrity and management of inland lake ecosystems. Herein, the organophosphorus pesticides (OPPs) pollution status and their relationship with dissolved organic matter (DOM) in Dongting Lake were investigated to identify the ecological risks and potential sources of OPPs. The total concentrations of 18 detected OPPs were in the range of 13.

The porous materials (PM) were prepared by the Pickering high internal phase emulsion (PHIPE) template. Firstly, the nanoparticles named as ZHMNPs or MZHMNPs were fabricated based on zein, Hohenbuehelia serotina polysaccharides and Malus baccata (Linn.) Borkh polyphenols without or with Maillard reaction, the average particle sizes and zeta potentials of which were distributed in a range of 718.

The aim of this study was to construct the nanoparticles based on Hohenbuehelia serotina polysaccharides and mucin for encapsulation of the polyphenols from Malus baccata (Linn.) Borkh (MBP-MC-HSP NPs), and investigate their effects on intestinal function and gut microbiota in mice. The results showed that MBP-MC-HSP NPs did not have any toxic and side effect by determining organ indexes and hematological parameters.

With the aid of 1,2-bis(4-pyridyl)ethane (bpee), a nitrogen-donor ligand and 1,3,5-tris(carboxymethoxy)benzene (HTCMB), a tripodal ether-connector tricarboxylate ligand, two novel transition metal coordination polymers (CPs) have been synthesized via the reaction of Zn(NO)·6HO or Cu(NO)·3HO with the ligands of HTCMB and bpee ligands with similar reactions under slightly distinct temperatures (80℃ for 1 and 120℃ for 2), and their chemical formula are [Cu(TCMB)(bpee)(µ-OH)(HO)]·12nHO (1) and [Zn(TCMB)(bpee)(µ-OH)(HO)]·12nHO (2). Complex 2 can be utilized as a super sensitive fluorescence quenching sensor to determine the Fe ions. The effect of these two compounds on the differentiation of mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) into the cells of vascular endothelial was further explored.

Non-invasive micro-test techniques (NMT) were used to analyze NaCl-altered flux profiles of K, Na, and H in roots and effects of NaHS (a HS donor) on root ion fluxes in two contrasting poplar species, (salt-resistant) and (salt-sensitive). Both poplar species displayed a net K efflux after exposure to salt shock (100 mM NaCl), as well as after short-term (24 h), and long-term (LT) (5 days) saline treatment (50 mM NaCl, referred to as salt stress). NaHS (50 μM) restricted NaCl-induced K efflux in roots irrespective of the duration of salt exposure, but K efflux was not pronounced in data collected from the LT salt stress treatment of .

Background: The aim of this study was to determine the effectiveness and short-term outcomes of endovenous laser therapy (EVLT) combined with pinhole high ligation (PHL) in the treatment of great saphenous varicose veins.

Methods: From February 2011 to May 2012, 200 patients with great saphenous varicose veins were treated using combined EVLT and PHL. Sixty-eight of them had concurrent TriVex suction.
