Objectives: To evaluate the safety of ultrasound-guided thermal ablation (UGTA) for thyroid nodules (TNs) by analysing complications and related risks.
Materials And Methods: This retrospective, single-centre study reviewed patients who underwent UGTA (microwave or radiofrequency ablation) between January 2018 and March 2023. The incidence of complications was recorded and assessed during and immediately after ablation,1-3 h later, and at 1 month, 3 months, and 6 months.
Ceramic membrane has an important application prospect in industrial acid solution treatment. Enhancement of the acid resistance is the key strategy to optimize the membrane treatment effect. This work reports a core-shell structured membrane fabricated on alumina ceramic substrates via a one-step in situ hydrothermal method.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFA method for the selective synthesis of unsymmetrical α-haloketones has been developed. The key transformation is a triphenylphosphine oxide catalyzed reductive halogenation of an α,β-unsaturated ketone in which trichlorosilane is the reducing reagent and an -halosuccinimide is the electrophilic halogen source. This method allows for a halogen atom to be installed selectively at either of two very similarly substituted sites adjacent to a ketone group.

In this single reaction, benzenethiophene or benzeneselenophene skeleton, C(sp)-P and C(sp)-S bonds can be constructed with the cleavage of the C(sp)-S bond, highlighting the efficiency and step-economics of this protocol.
