Cytosine-rich and poly(adenine)-tailed tetrahedral DNA framework (TDF) is designed as template (A-TDF) for anchoring silver nanoclusters (AgNCs) and igniting the dual-color fluorescence of AgNCs. The resultant DNA-AgNCs simultaneously emits red and green fluorescence, and the quantum yield of red fluorescence is as high as 44.8%.

HCV patients are usually under substantial oxidative stress because of viral infection. A total of 177 patients with HCV infection and 198 age- and sex-matched healthy controls were enrolled in this study. We evaluated the urinary levels of 8-oxo-7, 8-dihydro-2'deoxyguanosine (8-oxodGuo) and 8-oxo-7, 8-dihydroguanosine (8-oxoGuo) in patients with HCV infection and explored the factors affecting the urinary 8-oxodGuo or 8-oxoGuo levels.

To evaluate the urinary levels of 8-oxo-7,8-dihydro-2'deoxyguanosine (8-oxo-dGsn) and 8-oxo-7,8-dihydroguanosine (8-oxo-Gsn) in liver injury patients with hepatitis B virus (HBV) infection and to explore the relationship between urinary 8-oxo-dGsn or 8-oxo-Gsn and degree of liver damage. We enrolled 138 liver injury patients with HBV infection and 169 age- and sex-matched healthy controls in this study. A sensitive and accurate isotope-diluted liquid chromatograph mass spectrometer/mass spectrometer (LC-MS/MS) method was used to measure the urinary levels of 8-oxo-Gsn and 8-oxo-dGsn.

The objective of this study was to investigate the drug resistance characteristics of Mycobacterium tuberculosis isolates to four first-line antituberculous drugs (ATDs) from tuberculosis (TB) patients with AIDS in Beijing, China. All M. tuberculosis strains were isolated from specimens from TB patients with AIDS hospitalised between April 2010 and October 2012.

Objective: To observe the effect of Yupingfeng San (YPFS) against OVA-induced allergic asthma in mice.

Method: Mice were injected with OVA to establish the allergic asthma model. They were abdominally injected with 20 microg OVA on day 0 and 14, and inhaled aerosol 0.

Objective: To study the toxic mechanism of toxic raphides from Pinellia ternata.

Method: Mouse peritoneal macrophage in vitro culture model was adopted to study dose-dependent and time-dependent curves of toxic raphides, with TNF-alpha, IL-1beta and IL-6 in supernatant as indexes. Scanning electron microscopy was used to observe the changes in surface morphology of raphides-treated macrophages.

Objective: To investigate the Cryptosporidium infection and its epidemiological characteristics in HIV/AIDS patients with chronic diarrhea.

Methods: Stool samples collected from HIV/AIDS confirmed patients with chronic diarrhea who lived in Beijing, Henan and Xinjiang. Samples were concentrated by Formalin-Ethyl Acetate Sedimentation technique and stained by modified acid-fast stain (AFS) for the identification of oocysts by microscopy.

Aim: To study the developmental regularities and heterogeneity of mast cells (MC) in human fetus duodenum and the distribution and developmental regularities of substance P(SP), calcitonin gene-related peptide (CGRP)-immunoreactive (IR) peptidergic nerves in fetus duodenum, as well as the relationship between MC, SP and CGRP- IR peptidergic nerves.

Methods: Duodena from 21 cases of human fetus and one term infant were stained by hematoxylin-eosin (HE), toluidine blue (TB) and immunohistochemical avidin-biotinylated peroxidase complex (ABC) method.

Results: Lobe-shape intestinal villi in duodenum were already developed at the twelfth week.
