In this study, The Cancer Genome Atlas and Genotype-Tissue Expression databases were used to identify potential biomarkers of soft tissue sarcoma (STS) and construct a prognostic model. The model was used to calculate risk scores based on the expression of five key genes, among which MYBL2 and FBN2 were upregulated and TSPAN7, GCSH, and DDX39B were downregulated in STS patients. We also examined gene signatures associated with the key genes and evaluated the model's clinical utility.

Methods: Randomized controlled trials in four electronic databases that involved ERAS protocols for upper gastrointestinal surgery were searched through December 12, 2018. The primary endpoints were lung infection, urinary tract infection, surgical site infection, postoperative anastomotic leakage and ileus.
With new randomised pieces of evidence and the latest clinical practice guideline from the emerging in 2018, an updated analysis of best available evidence on the controversial effects of corticosteroids in sepsis is warranted. To comprehensively evaluate whether corticosteroids are beneficial in reducing mortality and what cumulative dosage, daily dosage, and duration of corticosteroid treatment would enable adult patients with sepsis to reach the critical point of benefits. Results: Eleven studies were identified in this meta-analysis.
