Olfactory receptors (ORs) are members of the transmembrane G protein-coupled receptor superfamily, playing a crucial role in odor recognition, which further mediates crucial biological processes in mammals. In sows, androstenone can trigger sexual behaviors through olfaction, but the underlying mechanism remains to be explored. To efficiently and accurately screen pig olfactory receptors responding to androstenone and the key structure determinant, we adapted the high-throughput RNA-seq strategy to screen the altered genes upon androstenone treatment in the olfactory epithelium of pigs, yielding 1397 downregulated genes.

Samples of 137 trees across seven populations within Fujian Province were collected and sequenced using double-digest restriction site-associated DNA (ddRAD-seq). A total of 3,687,189 single-nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) were identified, and 15,158 high-quality SNPs were obtained after filtering.

This study introduces a class of 3D-printable magnetic hydrogels with tunable stiffness, adhesion, and magnetic responsiveness, prepared through a simple and efficient "one-pot" method. This approach enables precise control over the hydrogel's mechanical properties, with an elastic modulus ranging from 43 kPa to 277 kPa, tensile strength from 93 kPa to 421 kPa, and toughness from 243 kJ/m to 1400 kJ/m, achieved by modulating the concentrations of acrylamide (AM) and FeO nanoparticles.

This study aims to develop and validate the Adolescent Problematic Gaming Scale (PGS-Adolescent). Following established scientific protocols, we developed an initial version of the PGS-Adolescent scale and validated it using data from 448 valid survey responses collected from adolescents in China. The dataset was split into two parts: 225 responses were allocated for exploratory factor analysis (EFA), and 223 for confirmatory factor analysis (CFA).

Variable contrast in the figure-ground and environmental noise interference, however, have a strong influence on the existing model. The responses of the lobula plate tangential cell (LPTC) neurons of Drosophila are robust and stable in the face of variable contrast in the figure-ground and environmental noise interference, which provides an excellent paradigm for addressing these challenges.

The entropy method, kernel density estimation, and spatial Durbin model are applied to examine the spatiotemporal evolution and influencing factors. The results show significant spatial clustering, with stronger resilience in the east and weaker resilience in the west.

In traditional EEG signal classification, effectively utilizing the valuable information contained within the electroencephalogram is crucial.
Objectives: To further optimize the use of information from various domains, we propose a novel framework based on multi-domain feature rotation transformation and stacking ensemble for classifying MI tasks.
: Falls and fall consequences in older adults are global health issues. Previous studies have compared postural sways or stepping strategies between older adults with and without fall histories to identify factors associated with falls. However, more in-depth neuromuscular/kinematic mechanisms have remained unclear.

Here, we demonstrate the in situ doping of electron-deficient boron into the backbone of chitosan-based porous carbon materials. Despite a reduction in specific surface area, the resulting boron-doped porous carbons (NBPCs) exhibit an enhanced CO adsorption performance, with sample NBPC-10 achieving CO adsorption capacities of 7.

Methods: Retrospectively, we collected general information, clinical characteristics, laboratory examinations, and dialysis-related factors from a cohort of 1465 patients who received continuous arteriovenous fistula surgery at the Hemodialysis Access Center of Sichuan Provincial People's Hospital between January 2019 and June 2022. The patients were randomly divided into a training set and a validation set in a 2:1 ratio.
Background: Drought is a major limiting factor for plant survival and crop productivity. Stylosanthes angustifolia, a pioneer plant, exhibits remarkable drought tolerance, yet the molecular mechanisms driving its drought resistance remain largely unexplored.
Results: We present a chromosome-scale reference genome of S.
The microscopic mechanisms by which solutes modulate water freezing are fundamental for controlling the freezing of various environmental and cryobiotic systems. Although our understanding of the initiation mechanisms of pure water freezing is becoming clearer, the microscopic pictures regarding ice nucleation in complex systems such as solutions still rely on theory assumption and empirical formulation. Here, we experimentally demonstrate that solutes modulate water freezing through affecting critical ice nucleus formation.

The tRNA-derived small RNAs (tsRNAs) are a new class of non coding RNAs, which are stable in body fluids and can be used as potential biomarkers for disease diagnosis. However, the exact value of tsRNAs in the diagnosis of tuberculosis (TB) is still unclear. The objective of the present study was to evaluate the performance of the serum tsRNAs biosignature to distinguish between active TB, healthy controls, latent TB infection, and other respiratory diseases.

Dental Fluorosis (DF) is one of the negative outcomes of excessive fluoride (F) intake through food sources. This systematic review aimed to compare F content in two important food sources for infants, Mother's Milk (MoM) and Infant Formula (IF), and then evaluate the risk of DF related to F in those two types of food. For this purpose, 181 studies were initially found by searching the relevant keywords in widely recognized databases, including Google Scholar, Scopus, Science Direct, and PubMed.
