Per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) are artificial chemicals extensively utilized in everyday products, and numerous cross-sectional epidemiological studies consistently link PFAS exposure with lipid profiles across diverse populations and age groups. In longitudinal studies, the findings also indicate a positive correlation between PFAS and lipid profiles; however, this association remains unexplored in adolescents and young adults. Notably, previous research has predominantly focused on conventional lipid biomarkers, with limited exploration of the relationship between PFAS and diverse lipoprotein subfractions.

Facilely synthesized peroxidase-like nanozymes with high catalytic activity and stability may serve as effective biocatalysts. The present study synthesizes peroxidase-like nanozymes with multinuclear active sites using two-dimensional (2D) metal-organic framework (MOF) nanosheets and evaluates them for their practical applications. A simple method involving a one-pot bottom-up reflux reaction is developed for the mass synthesis of (Cu-S) MOF 2D nanosheets, significantly increasing production quantity and reducing reaction time compared to traditional autoclave methods.

A novel sorbent Cu-S metal-organic framework (MOF) microrods was prepared for dispersive solid-phase extraction via microwave synthesis and used to determine 12 fluoroquinolones (FQs) in honey samples employing ultrahigh-performance liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry (UHPLC-MS/MS). The best extraction efficiency was achieved by optimizing sample pH, sorbent quantity, eluent type/volume, and extraction and elution time. The proposed MOF exhibits advantages such as rapid synthesis time (20 min) and outstanding adsorption ability toward zwitterionic FQs.

The clarification of possible exposure sources of multiple metals to identify associations between metal doses and urothelial carcinoma (UC) risk is currently limited in the literature. We sought to identify the exposure sources of 10 metals (Vanadium, chromium, manganese, cobalt, nickel, copper, zinc, arsenic, cadmium, and lead) using principal component analysis (PCA) and then linked various principal component (PC) scores with environmental characteristics, including smoking-related indices, PM, and distance to the nearest bus station.
