Aims: To investigate the N-glycans related to the metformin efficacy in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM).
Materials And Methods: We enrolled 141 healthy controls and 195 newly diagnosed T2DM patients treated with metformin for 3 months. Serum N-glycan profile was determined by DNA sequencer - assisted fluorophore-assisted carbohydrate electrophoresis (DSA-FACE).
Despite surging interests on liquid-state coacervates and condensates, confinement within solid-state pores for selective permeation remains an unexplored area. Drawing inspiration from nuclear pore complexes (NPCs), we design and construct coacervate-pore complexes (CPCs) with regulatable permeability. We demonstrate universal CPC formation across 19 coacervate systems and 5 pore types, where capillarity drives the spontaneous imbibition of coacervate droplets into dispersed or interconnected pores.

This condition frequently occurs in Chinese patients with alcoholic liver disease and chronic hepatitis B. To address the impending public health crisis of non-alcoholic fatty liver disease and its underlying metabolic issues, the Chinese Society of Hepatology and the Chinese Medical Association convened a panel of clinical experts to revise and update the "Guideline of prevention and treatment of non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (2018, China)".

It is imperative to identify true "immune tolerant" patients. We aimed to evaluate the liver histopathology features of HBeAg-positive CHB patients with normal ALT and the incidence of liver cirrhosis and HCC in CHB patients during follow-up.

Methods: This multi-center (33 hospitals) study recruited 760 treatment-naïve CHB patients who underwent liver biopsy.
In 2023, Chinese Society of Hepatology of Chinese Medical Association convened a panel of experts to update the Chinese guidelines on the management of ascites and associated complications in cirrhosis which was launched in 2017 and renamed this guidelines as "Guidelines on the Management of Ascites in Cirrhosis." This comprehensive resource offers essential recommendations for the diagnosis and treatment of cirrhotic ascites, spontaneous bacterial peritonitis, and hepatorenal syndrome.

Strategies targeting PD-1/PD-L1 have shown clinical benefits in a variety of cancers. However, limited response rates in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) have prompted us to investigate the molecular regulation of PD-L1.

Methods: The promoter sequence of human was amplified from the genomic DNA of human hepatocarcinoma cell line HepG2. Based on the pLVX-AcGFP1-N1 plasmid, the recombinant plasmid pLVX-COL1A1-enhanced green fluorescent protein (EGFP) was constructed, in which the enhanced green fluorescent protein gene expression was regulated by the promoter.
The present study aimed to investigate the effects of accidental pregnancy CHB patients' reproductive age on their offspring during entecavir (ETV) antiviral therapy. A total of 112 couples were retrospectively enrolled, and they were divided into an observational and control group. A total of 53 couples who had accidental pregnancies while receiving long-term ETV antiviral medication were recruited for the observational group.

Percutaneous transluminal angioplasty (PTA) is recommended as the first-line treatment for infrapopliteal arterial disease. Drug-eluting stent (DES) is another widely used option; however, its long-term therapeutic effect is controversial.

To facilitate the achieving of the goal of "eliminating viral hepatitis as a major public health threat by 2030" set by the World Health Organization, the Chinese Society of Hepatology together with the Chinese Society of Infectious Diseases (both are branches of the Chinese Medical Association) organized a panel of experts and updated the guidelines for prevention and treatment of chronic hepatitis B in China (version 2022). With the support of available evidence, this revision of the guidelines focuses on active prevention, large scale testing, and expansion of therapeutic indication of chronic hepatitis B with the aim of reducing the hepatitis B related disease burden.

Importantly, benefiting from the excellent magnetothermal performance of FeO microspheres, FeO-CS-GelMA scaffolds could effectively kill tumor cells and suppress breast cancer under an alternating magnetic field, and the tumor did not recur in 2 weeks. In addition, attributed to the released bioactive inorganic ions, FeO-CS-GelMA composite scaffolds could effectively promote the expression of adipogenesis-related genes and proteins of adipose-derived stem cells (ADSCs) via the PI3K-AKT signaling pathway .

However, the host and viral factors impacting sN146 status in natural HBV infection remain revealed mainly due to the technical difficulty in quantifying g-SHBs and ng-SHBs in serum samples.

Although significant progress has been made in bone tissue engineering, ineffective bone regeneration, and delayed osteointegration still remains an issue due to the ignorance of intrabony nerves and blood vessels. Herein, inspired by space-filling polyhedra with open architectures, polyhedron-like scaffolds with spatial topologies are prepared via 3D-printing technology to mimic the meshwork structure of cancellous bone.
