Given the growing population of older adults globally, e-Health plays an indispensable role in the chronic disease management of multimorbidity. However, qualitative evidence that synthesizes the experiences of older adults with multimorbidity using e-Health service is currently lacking. The objective was to explore the experiences and perceptions of e-Health care in community-based settings among the older adults with multimorbidity.

This paper explores novel hemostatic materials, using ion-crosslinking and freeze-drying techniques. Iterative experiments determined optimal conditions for the temperature-variable mixing-freeze-drying chemical reaction of sodium alginate (SA)/silk fibroin (SF).

View Article and Find Full Text PDFAneuploidy, a hallmark of cancer cells, poses an appealing opportunity for cancer treatment and prevention strategies. Using a cell-based screen to identify small molecules that could selectively kill aneuploid cells, we identified the compound -[2-hydroxy-1-(4-morpholinylmethyl)-2-phenylethyl]-decanamide monohydrochloride (DL-PDMP), an antagonist of UDP-glucose ceramide glucosyltransferase. DL-PDMP selectively inhibited proliferation of aneuploid primary mouse embryonic fibroblasts and aneuploid colorectal cancer cells.
