Liver cirrhosis is a chronic disease caused by long-term inflammation and fibrosis of the liver. Early identification and intervention in liver cirrhosis have become an important goal for researchers to explore the influence of some metabolic factors on the risk of liver cirrhosis in terms of genetic susceptibility. Data from genome-wide association studies (GWASs) of fourteen metabolic factors and liver cirrhosis were obtained from publicly available databases.

While Non-Bioartificial Artificial Liver Support system (NBALSS) has been utilized as a transitional intervention to liver transplant, its efficacy remains uncertain, It is also used as a last-line treatment for patients who are not candidates for liver transplantation.
Objective: The aim of this study was to perform a systematic review and meta-analysis of randomized controlled trials (RCTs) to evaluate the efficacy of NBALSS in treating acute liver failure (ALF).
Angoroside C (AgrC) is a compound with many pharmacological properties. However, its antitumour potential has not been well studied. The low bioavailability of AgrC suggests a strong link to gut bacteria.

Apart from textbook classification, there are anatomical variations in the gastric arteries. Laparoscopic gastrectomy presents technical difficulties and necessitates a more comprehensive comprehension of regional anatomy than open surgical procedures.

Current screening methods for 1p deletion like fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH) and loss of heterozygosity (LOH) analysis are resource-intensive. This study evaluated AlkaPhos, a novel fluorescent probe, for detecting alkaline phosphatase in meningioma cells and compared findings with FISH, LOH, and histochemical analysis.

However, the molecular mechanisms through which viruses regulate host RNA m6A methylation are not fully understood. In this study, we reveal that SARS-CoV-2 and HCoV-OC43 infection enhance host m6A modification by activating the mTORC1 signaling pathway.

Some studies have shown that the crude oils of the Chang 9 Member may originate from the Chang 9 source rock in some areas, which may be related to the distribution of the source rock. However, the distribution of the Chang 9 source rock in the Longdong area is still unclear, which hinders further exploration and development of petroleum.

Among these materials, direct Z-scheme heterojunctions have attracted considerable attention in recent research. In this study, a novel CdO/ZrSSe heterojunction is designed using first-principles calculations.

Objectives: To investigate the meta-epidemiology and reporting characteristics of mapping reviews.
Study Design And Setting: We conducted a scoping review of a sample of recent mapping reviews (2022-2023) by searching nine electronic databases and eleven institutional websites up to January 2024. A 28-item reporting checklist, developed by our team and based on existing guidance and methodological studies of mapping reviews, was employed to assess reporting characteristics.
Objectives: For the treatment of early hepatocellular carcinoma, we compared the efficacy and safety of radiofrequency ablation (RFA) alone and radiofrequency ablation combined with sorafenib (RFA+Sor).
Methods: A total of 164 patients with early HCC were included in the study. There were 87 patients who underwent RFA alone, and 77 patients who underwent RFA+Sor treatment.

Context.—: M-type phospholipase A2 receptor (PLA2R) is the major autoantigen of membranous nephropathy (MN). As the specific antibodies of MN, the correlation between serum PLA2R antibody (sPLA2R-Ab) levels and PLA2R-associated MN (PMN) risk stratification is still controversial.

In this retrospective study of patients with COVID-19 requiring high oxygen and receiving corticosteroids, the efficacy, safety, and duration of high-dose treatment were evaluated. The primary outcome was all-cause mortality during follow-up.

In this study, peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs) derived from patient diagnosed with dilated cardiomyopathy (DCM) was successfully reprogrammed into the human induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs) line, harboring a distinct heterozygous mutation in the LZTR1 gene. The established patient-derived iPSCs expressed endogenous pluripotent markers, demonstrated the potential to differentiate into three germ layers (endoderm, mesoderm, and ectoderm), and exhibited a normal karyotype.

Dyadic interventions are designed to concurrently address the health problems of both, yet there remains limited evidence as to which specific dyadic interventions yield the most effective outcomes for both partners.
Objectives: To systematically synthesize and evaluate the comparative efficacy of various dyadic interventions on a wide range of outcomes within cancer patient-caregiver dyads.

Owing to their well-defined crystalline pore structures and ordered functional ionic groups along the skeleton, ionic covalent organic frameworks (iCOFs) exhibit excellent performance and have significant potential for use in energy storage and conversion devices. Herein, we for the first time developed cationic phosphonium COFs with high hydroxide conduction even with low ion exchange capacity (IEC). Specifically, we synthesized COFs containing quaternary phosphonium groups as excellent ion transport moieties.

CSF hypersecretion due to ChP inflammation has emerged as an important pathogenesis of hydrocephalus recently. Nevertheless, the precise mechanisms of ChP inflammation and the ensuing CSF hypersecretion in hydrocephalus remain ill-defined.

However, its efficacy for thalamic hemorrhage accompanied by intraventricular hematoma (THAVH) remains unclear. The aim of this study is to determine the efficacy of NES in treating THAVH.

This study aimed to determine the optimal cut-off value of tumor size (TS), and construct a prognostic nomogram in combination with other independent prognostic factors (PFs) to predict 3 year and 5 year overall survival (OS) in GSRC patients. From the Surveillance, Epidemiology, and End Results (SEER) database, this study collected 4744 patients diagnosed with GSRC.

However, few studies have examined the gene expression regulatory network (GRN) in IDH-mutant and wild-type gliomas. In this study, single-cell RNA sequencing and spatial transcriptome sequencing were used to analyze the GRN of cell subsets in patients with IDH-mutant and wild-type gliomas.
