Objective: To investigate the expression of serum histone deacetylase 2 (HDAC2) in patients with acute myeloid leukemia (AML) and its clinical significance.
Methods: The 150 AML patients who received treatment in our hospital from April 2017 to April 2019 were included as AML group, and further divided into survival group (108 cases) and death group (42 cases) according to their survival status. In addition, 100 health individuals undergoing health examination in the same period were included as control group.
Surgical resection, the mainstay for melanoma treatment, faces challenges due to high tumor recurrence rates and complex postoperative wound healing. Chronic inflammation from residual disease and the risk of secondary infections impede healing. We introduce an innovative, injectable hydrogel system that integrates a multifaceted therapeutic approach.

This article overviews and analyzes the systematic reviews/Meta-analysis of Shufeng Jiedu Capsules to provide evidence support for clinical practice. The systematic reviews/Meta-analysis of Shufeng Jiedu Capsules were searched from CBM, Wanfang, CNKI, VIP, PubMed, EMbase and Cochrane Library.

We conducted a population-based study of all APL patients in Zhejiang Province, China, with a total population of 82 million people, to assess the generalization of all-trans retinoic acid (ATRA) and arsenic as front-line treatment. The outcomes of APL patients were also analyzed.

Anti-osteoporotic medications are applied as a therapeutic strategy to prevent bone deterioration in ITP patients. However, the skeletal protective effect of alendronate (ALN) in ITP patients has been rarely reported.

Despite structural similarities, electronic spectra show that the reactivity is different for TNB and TNT. In addition to reaction with the DMF solvent, residual water in nominally dry DMF generates sufficient hydroxide for reaction with TNB and TNT.

In this study we investigated the category approach for testing the hemolytic effects of ethylene glycol alkyl ethers (EGAEs) for repeated-dose toxicity (RDT). Using mechanistic information on the hemolytic effects of ethylene glycol butyl ether, a toxicologically meaningful category was built on the basis of similarity of metabolism, mode of action and the hemolytic effects of several EGAEs and related chemicals.

Although signal transducer and activator of transcription-3 (STAT3), a transcription factor which targets mainly mitotic genes, definitely plays an important role in liver regeneration, the exact roles of STAT3 are not completely understood.
Aim: In this report, we tried to search for a new target of STAT3 involved in liver regeneration in mice.
Downregulation of the transcription factor AtMYB103 using transgenic technology results in early tapetal degeneration and pollen aberration during anther development in Arabidopsis thaliana. This paper describes the functional analysis of the AtMYB103 gene in three knock-out mutants. Two male sterile mutants, ms188-1 and ms188-2, were generated by ethyl-methane sulfonate (EMS) mutagenesis.

The biogenesis of chloroplast from proplastid is the prerequisite of photosynthesis. Using electron microscope, we found that rice albino mutant Osalb23 had no thylakoid inside the chloroplast, only some empty vesicles could be observed (Fig. 2).

The fine structure of compound eye in Portunus tritubereulatus under different wavelength lights adaptation was studied with electron microscopy. The Portunus tritubereulatus were trained in a darkroom for 30 minutes and they were given the lights of different wavelength (red 750 nm, yellow 580 nm, green 560 nm, blue 400 nm). The result showed that fine structures varied with different wavelength lights.

Signal transducer and activator of transcription-3 (Stat3) is one of the most important molecules involved in the initiation of liver development and regeneration, and has recently been shown to protect cells against various pathogens. In order to investigate the hepatoprotective effects of Stat3, we examined whether it protects against H/R-induced injury in primary hepatocytes.

All recipients had retained a well-functioning kidney graft for more than 15 yr on low-dose maintenance immunosuppression. Among a total of 12630 transcripts examined, significant differential expression was observed for 599 genes, whereby 470 genes were up-regulated and 129 down-regulated in the transplant recipients compared with controls.

In order to investigate the hepatoprotective effects of Stat3, we examined whether Stat3 protects against Fas-mediated liver injury in the mouse. A constitutively activated form of Stat3 (Stat3-C) was adenovirally overexpressed in mouse liver by intravenous injection, and then a nonlethal dose of Fas agonist (Jo2) was injected intraperitoneally into the mouse (0.
