Introduction: High-density Wheat 660 K and 90 K SNP arrays are powerful tools for understanding the genetic basis of wheat traits. However, their inconsistantly physical positions that were caused by different versions of Chinese Spring genome during developing arrays are confused and inconvenient for further application.

Objective: With the repid development of wheat geonome sequencing, we aim to reconciliate Wheat 660 K and 90 K SNP arrays in modern cultivar and reveal the genetic basis of dough rheological properties in bread wheat.

The Cardiometabolic Index (CMI) is a well-recognized risk factor for a range of cardiovascular diseases and diabetes mellitus. However, the population-level characteristics of CMI and its potential association with mortality risk among individuals over 40 years of age have not been investigated. This study aims to assess the association between CMI and both all-cause and cardiovascular mortality among the middle-aged and elderly population.

To evaluate the efficacy of human placental extract (HPE) eye drops compared to that of carboxymethylcellulose (CMC) and human peripheral blood serum (HPBS) eye drops in a mouse model of experimental dry eye (EDE) and corneal alkali burns. EDE and alkali burn models were induced in C57BL/6 mice using desiccating stress and NaOH, respectively. In both the EDE and alkali burn models, treatment groups received CMC, HPBS, or HPE eye drops.

Angioimmunoblastic T-cell lymphoma (AITL) is a kind of aggressive T-cell lymphoma with significant enrichment of non-malignant tumor microenvironment (TME) cells. However, the complexity of TME in AITL progression is poorly understood. We performed single-cell RNA-Seq (scRNA-seq) and imaging mass cytometry (IMC) analysis to compare the cellular composition and spatial architecture between relapsed/refractory AITL (RR-AITL) and newly diagnosed AITL (ND-AITL).

Objective: To investigate the incidence and potential risk factors associated with postoperative spinal epidural hematoma (SEH) following anterior cervical spine surgery (ACSS).

Methods: A retrospective analysis was conducted on the clinical data of patients who underwent ACSS for cervical spondylosis at Peking University Third Hospital between March 2013 and February 2022. Patients who developed postoperative SEH were categorized as the SEH group, while those in the cohort without SEH were randomly selected as the non-SEH group by individually matching with the same operator, same gender, same surgery year, and similar age (±5 years) at a ratio of 4 ∶ 1.

Immune checkpoint inhibitors have demonstrated remarkable efficacy across various cancer types. However, immune-related adverse events (irAEs) pose a significant challenge in immunotherapy, particularly the associated pneumonia as the primary adverse reaction, which can lead to irreversible pulmonary fibrosis. Additionally, monotherapy with programmed death ligand (PD-L1) inhibitors has shown limited effectiveness.

The controlled release of immunostimulatory agents represents a promising strategy to enhance vaccine efficacy while minimizing side effects. This study aimed to improve the efficacy of the RBD-Fc-based COVID-19 vaccine through combining of an iNKT cell agonist and a TLR7/8 agonist using covalent conjugation and temporal delivery. We hypothesized that these combinations would yield a more balanced Th1/Th2 immune response.

Objective: The Qing'e Pill (QEP) is widely used to alleviate low back pain and sciatica caused by Intervertebral Disc Degeneration (IDD). However, its active components, key targets, and molecular mechanisms are not fully understood. The aim of this study is to elucidate the molecular mechanisms through which the QEP improves IDD using database mining techniques.

Studies have demonstrated that proactive personality and career adaptability are correlated. Less is known, however, about how proactive personality impact career adaptability. Based on the conservation of resources (COR) theory, the present study aimed to investigate the association between proactive personality and career adaptability, and explored the mediating effects of strengths use and job crafting.

  • Traditional 2D models for studying concrete fractures often overlook how specimen width affects crack behavior, particularly in reinforced concrete beams with varying crack lengths.
  • A 3D numerical method was developed to simulate crack propagation in lightly reinforced concrete beams, utilizing nonlinear spring elements to accurately represent concrete softening and bond-slip between steel and concrete.
  • Comparisons with experimental data showed that the 3D model provided more accurate load-displacement curves, revealing that 2D models significantly overestimate external loads during the initial loading stage.

  • In experiments, potato plants were subjected to salinity and osmotic stress using NaCl and PEG, leading to an analysis of the StGATA family genes via qRT-PCR and the establishment of modified plants with varying gene expression.
  • Results showed that overexpressing StGATA12 enhanced photosynthesis, transpiration, and stress resistance by regulating biochemical responses and gene activity, indicating its potential for improving potato plant resilience to environmental stresses.

Objective: Systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) is an autoimmune disease characterised by a loss of immune tolerance, affecting multiple organs and significantly impairing patients' health and quality of life. While hereditary elements are essential in the onset of SLE, external environmental influences are also significant. Currently, there are few predictive models for SLE that takes into account the impact of occupational and living environmental exposures.

  • - The study investigates the effectiveness of combining targeted therapy with immunotherapy for treating metastatic colorectal cancer (mCRC) in patients who have already undergone multiple lines of treatment.
  • - Out of 71 patients analyzed, those receiving the combination therapy showed significantly better response rates (20% vs. 3.2%) and longer median progression-free survival (4.6 months vs. 4.1 months) compared to those on targeted therapy alone.
  • - The findings suggest that the targeted-immunotherapy combination is more beneficial for patients with microsatellite stable (MSS) mCRC, especially for those with lung metastases, which had the best outcomes.

  • MAVS is a key player in the body's antiviral immune response, and its regulation is essential for maintaining immune balance.
  • The study discovered that a new protein in ducks, ApdTRIM13, negatively regulates MAVS by targeting it for degradation during RNA virus infections.
  • The process involves another protein, ApdSQSTM1, which helps ApdTRIM13 deliver MAVS to cellular structures for degradation, highlighting a unique mechanism linking autophagy and immune responses in birds.

  • This study investigates the relationship between blood lipid levels and disease characteristics in patients with advanced gastric cancer, specifically focusing on how these lipid levels change as the disease progresses.
  • Researchers analyzed data from 179 patients with stage III-IV gastric adenocarcinoma, looking at various lipid parameters and their association with factors like age, gender, and metastasis sites.
  • The findings suggest that certain lipid levels, such as low total cholesterol and specific changes in LDL-C and VLDL-C, are linked to different metastatic sites, indicating that lipid profiles could be useful biomarkers for predicting where the cancer spreads in patients.
