In this study, we aimed to compare the efficacy and safety between GATT and TRAB for the treatment of POAG.
Methods: This cohort study included eyes with POAG that underwent a single GATT (30 eyes) or TRAB (34 eyes).
Shaoyao Gancao Decoction(SGD) is a classic formula used in the clinical treatment of joint diseases, such as rheumatoid arthritis(RA), though its mechanism of action remains unclear. This study aimed to explore the mechanism of SGD in treating RA through chemical and network pharmacology analyses, combined with cellular experiments. UPLC-Orbitrap-MS~2 was used to qualitatively analyze SGD and drug-containing serum of rats after oral administration of SGD, thereby identifying the chemical composition and plasma components of SGD.

The main strategy of endocrine therapy for ERα+ breast cancer is to inhibit the ERα signaling pathway and downregulate ERα levels, which often results in mutations in the ligand-binding domain (LBD) of ERα, leading to significant resistance to subsequent treatment in patients. To combat drug resistance, we first proposed a novel aptamer PROTAC strategy through specifically targeted degradation of ERα via targeting the DNA-binding domain (DBD) of ERα.

The presence of major risk factors for DR, such as high levels of HbA1c, does not predict all DR pathogenesis in the clinic, which suggests that uncovering the underlying mechanisms and identifying novel markers are needed. Previous evidence has shown that the serum metabolic signature of DR is unique and detectable compared with that of diabetes mellitus (DM).

In high-voltage lithium metal batteries, designing electrolytes with low salt concentrations to achieve stable electrode interfaces presents a formidable challenge. High-concentration electrolytes stabilize the interface through an anion-derived LiF-rich interphase; however, their anion-rich solvation structures compromise the ionic conductivity. This study introduces a polymer-derived interphase that maintains interface stability at low lithium salt concentrations (∼1 M).

Methods: Medical records of 86 patients who underwent TIPS, including conventional TIPS, 3D volumetric CT image fusion (CT-fluoroscopy image fusion)-guided TIPS, and trans-abdominal ultrasound (US)-guided TIPS at our institute from March 2016 to June 2024 were reviewed. Baseline characteristics, clinical outcomes, and procedural data were analyzed.
Objective: This study aimed to explore the clinical characteristics of thyroid-associated ophthalmopathy (TAO) with hyperlipidemia and to identify the key lipid indicator.
Methods: Patients with TAO were recruited to this study and divided into two groups based on the presence of hyperlipidemia. TAO patients with hyperlipidemia were further classified based on the type of hyperlipidemia.
Background & Aims: The molecular mechanism underlying metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease (MASLD) is elusive and whether non-coding RNAs can serve as biomarkers and therapeutic targets of MASLD is less defined.
Methods: Exon capture RNA sequencing analysis was used to identify read-through circRNAs (rt-circRNAs) in livers from three MASLD patients and three patients without MASLD. Hepatocyte-specific deletion or overexpression of rt-circRNA RCRIN were utilized to study MASLD pathogenesis.
In the context of global warming, heat stress poses a threat to aquatic organisms. In the present study, a comprehensive analysis in hepatopancreas from Procambarus clarkii was conducted to examine the histology, physiological changes, and transcriptome alterations after exposed at 32 and 37 ℃ for 24 and 72 h, respectively, with 26 ℃ as the control group. The results demonstrated that the survival rate of P.

Methods: A cross-sectional study was conducted on the family members of stroke patients at the China Rehabilitation Research Center from February 15 to May 2, 2024. This study collected demographic data and KAP scores through a self-designed questionnaire.
Cysteine-rich polycomb-like proteins (CPPs), pivotal transcription factors crucial for evolution of plants from germination to maturity, and adaptation to environmental stresses, have not yet been characterized within the context of Moso bamboo. The CPP gene family of Moso bamboo was identified through bioinformatics, and the structural and functional attributes of the gene, including its physicochemical properties, evolutionary relationships, and gene-protein structures, were revealed. Additionally, the current study also offers valuable information on the patterns of gene expression in bamboo shoots during the period of accelerated development.

Iron (Fe) oxides can interact with soil organic carbon (SOC) to form Fe-bound organic carbon (OC-Fe), which strongly promotes SOC protection, mitigating global climate change. However, the global patterns and factors controlling OC-Fe are unclear. Here, we conducted a meta-analysis of 3,395 globally distributed soil profiles to reveal the role of Fe-Al oxides in global soil carbon stabilization and stocks.

However, the synthesis of 2D MnBiTe-family materials via chemical vapor deposition (CVD), which is essential for advancing device applications, still remains a significant challenge since it is difficult to control the reactions among multi-precursors and form pure phases. Here, we report a controllable synthesis of high-quality magnetic topological insulator MnBiTe and MnBiTe multilayers via an evaporation-rate-controlled CVD approach.

Nevertheless, there remains a gap in real-world data regarding the variation in acute pancreatitis (AP) risk among different GLP-1 RAs. Our study aimed to characterize and evaluate AP associated with different GLP-1 RAs (exenatide, lixisenatide, liraglutide, albiglutide, semaglutide, dulaglutide and tirzepatide) in a public adverse events database and to review the relevant case reports.

This formal [4+2] cycloaddition protocol showed high efficiency and remarkable functional group tolerance. Mechanistic studies indicate the involvement of a single-electron oxidation pathway.

The block copolymers possess a melting point as high as 169 °C and two distinct glass transition temperatures. It is also possible to control the length and composition of the copolymers, thereby customizing their crystallinity and physical performance.

The development of photochromic dithienylethene (DTE) derivatives activated by visible light, particularly those exhibiting aggregation-induced emission (AIE) properties, is highly sought after for applications in photoelectric functional materials and biological systems. In this study, we rationally designed and successfully synthesized a novel cyanostilbene- and nitro-functionalized DTE derivative (6) featuring a reinforced acceptor (A)-DTE-acceptor (A) structural motif. Each of the two cyanostilbene fragments bearing nitrobenzene groups imparts both electron-withdrawing effects and AIE characteristics, thereby ensuring efficient visible light-driven photochromic performance.

The metabolic reprogramming of macrophages is a potential therapeutic strategy for sepsis treatment, but the mechanism underlying this reprogramming remains unclear. Since glycolysis can drive macrophage phenotype switching, the rate-limiting enzymes in glycolysis may be key to treating sepsis. Here, we found that, compared with other isoenzymes, the expression of 6-phosphofructokinase, muscle type (PFKM) was the most upregulated in monocytes from septic patients.
