Long-Term Result of Tibioperoneal Trunk Bypass with an Autogenous Graft Using the Varicose Great Saphenous Vein for Acute Limb Ischemia.

For the management of acute limb ischemia (ALI) and multilevel arterial occlusive disease, tibial bypass using the saphenous vein has been considered a mainstay due to the long-term durability in selected patients with acceptable saphenous veins and comorbid conditions. Traditionally, bypass using a varicose autogenous graft has been contraindicated due to the risk of late aneurysmal dilation and rupture. Here, we describe a patient who presented with ALI and received tibioperoneal trunk bypass using a varicose autogenous graft.

Porous Carbon-Based Supercapacitors Directly Derived from Metal-Organic Frameworks.

Numerously different porous carbons have been prepared and used in a wide range of practical applications. Porous carbons are also ideal electrode materials for efficient energy storage devices due to their large surface areas, capacious pore spaces, and superior chemical stability compared to other porous materials. Not only the electrical double-layer capacitance (EDLC)-based charge storage but also the pseudocapacitance driven by various dopants in the carbon matrix plays a significant role in enhancing the electrochemical supercapacitive performance of porous carbons.

Mutational analysis of extranodal marginal zone lymphoma using next generation sequencing.

Extranodal marginal zone lymphoma is a type of low-grade B-cell lymphoma that can be classified as a mucosal-associated lymphoid tissue (MALT) lymphoma. Recently, second-generation or next-generation sequencing (NGS), which allows simultaneous sequencing of hundreds to billions of DNA strands, has been a focus of attention and is rapidly being adopted in various fields. In the present study, paraffin-embedded tissue samples of gastric MALT lymphoma (n=1) and small intestine MALT lymphoma (n=4) were selected, and DNA was extracted from the tissue samples.

From these MS-based analyses, MS features that characterize citrullination, such as immonium ions (IMs) and neutral losses (NLs), called diagnostic ions, have been reported.

Metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) with negatively charged frameworks are suitable for selectively encapsulating cationic guest ions via a cation-exchange process. Encapsulating photoactive [RuL ] polypyridine complexes into the preorganized mesoscale channels of a MOF is a good method for stabilizing the excited states of the complexes. Three new RuL @InBTB MOFs were prepared by encapsulating cationic [Ru(bpy) ] (bpy=2,2'-bipyridine), [Ru(phen) ] (phen=1,10-phenanthroline), and [Ru(bpz) ] (bpz=2,2'-bipyrazine) into the mesopores of a three-dimensional (3D) InBTB MOF (H BTB=1,3,5-benzenetribenzoic acid).

Securing a moderate level of social acceptance for obnoxious facilities, public facilities that have negative effects, such as odors, noise, or other disruptions, is critical to infrastructure plans. For wastewater treatment plant (WWTP), also obnoxious facilities, upgrading and expanding the capacity of existing WWTP, are more important than the construction of new plants, in some regions. This study analyzes and compares the social acceptance of different types of WWTP upgrades and capacity expansion projects.

Recurrence and retreatment of anterior communicating artery aneurysms after endovascular treatment: a retrospective study.

Plant and animal intracellular nucleotide-binding, leucine-rich repeat (NLR) immune receptors detect pathogen-derived molecules and activate defense. Plant NLRs can be divided into several classes based upon their N-terminal signaling domains, including TIR (Toll-like, Interleukin-1 receptor, Resistance protein)- and CC (coiled-coil)-NLRs. Upon ligand detection, mammalian NAIP and NLRC4 NLRs oligomerize, forming an inflammasome that induces proximity of its N-terminal signaling domains.

Grain Size and Phase Transformation Behavior of TiNi Shape-Memory-Alloy Thin Film under Different Deposition Conditions.

TiNi shape-memory-alloy thin films can be used as small high-speed actuators or sensors because they exhibit a rapid response rate. In recent years, the transformation temperature of these films, manufactured via a magnetron sputtering method, was found to be lower than that of the bulk alloys owing to the small size of the grain. In this study, deposition conditions (growth rate, film thickness, and substrate temperature) affecting the grain size of thin films were investigated.

Materials And Methods: We examined computed tomography scans of 343 patients with AAAs (≥5.5 cm for men or ≥5 cm for women) between 2009 and 2018.

Value of Area Postrema Syndrome in Differentiating Adults With AQP4 vs. MOG Antibodies.

To compare the frequency of area postrema syndrome (APS) in adults with anti-aquaporin-4 (AQP4) and anti-myelin oligodendrocyte glycoprotein (MOG) antibodies. APS is defined as acute or subacute, single or combined, episodic or constant nausea, vomiting, or hiccups, persisting for at least 48 h, which cannot be attributed to any other etiology. The presence of APS was investigated in 274 adults with AQP4 antibodies and 107 adults with MOG antibodies from 10 hospitals.
