Background: Autosomal dominant spinocerebellar ataxias (SCAs) are a group of rare and heterogeneous neurodegenerative diseases characterized by the presence of progressive cerebellar ataxia. Although the symptomatology of SCAs is well known, information regarding central auditory functioning in these patients is lacking.
