Background: Maternal obesity may increase offspring risk of cardiovascular disease. We assessed the impact of maternal obesity on cardiac structure and function in newborns as a marker of fetal cardiac growth.
Methods: Neonates born to mothers of healthy weight (body mass index (BMI) 20-25 kg/m, n=56) and to mothers who were obese (BMI ≥30 kg/m, n=31) underwent 25-minute continuous ECG recording and non-sedated, free-breathing cardiac MRI within 72 hours of birth.

The measurement of the luminosity recorded by the CMS detector installed at LHC interaction point 5, using proton-proton collisions at in 2015 and 2016, is reported. The absolute luminosity scale is measured for individual bunch crossings using beam-separation scans (the van der Meer method), with a relative precision of 1.3 and 1.

A search is presented for a heavy vector resonance decaying into a boson and the standard model Higgs boson, where the boson is identified through its leptonic decays to electrons, muons, or neutrinos, and the Higgs boson is identified through its hadronic decays. The search is performed in a Lorentz-boosted regime and is based on data collected from 2016 to 2018 at the CERN LHC, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 137 . Upper limits are derived on the production of a narrow heavy resonance , and a mass below 3.

The data sample corresponds to an integrated luminosity of 137 collected with the CMS detector. Events are selected by requiring two or three electrons or muons, moderate missing transverse momentum, and two jets with a large rapidity separation and a large dijet mass.

This paper presents new sets of parameters ("tunes") for the underlying-event model of the event generator. These parameters control the description of multiple-parton interactions (MPI) and colour reconnection in , and are obtained from a fit to minimum-bias data collected by the CMS experiment at , 7, and . The tunes are based on the NNPDF 3.

Collinear (small-angle) and large-angle, as well as soft and hard radiations are investigated in three-jet and + two-jet events collected in proton-proton collisions at the LHC. The normalized production cross sections are measured as a function of the ratio of transverse momenta of two jets and their angular separation. The measurements in the three-jet and + two-jet events are based on data collected at a center-of-mass energy of 8 , corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 19.

Results of the Model Unspecific Search in CMS (MUSiC), using proton-proton collision data recorded at the LHC at a centre-of-mass energy of 13 , corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 35.9 , are presented. The MUSiC analysis searches for anomalies that could be signatures of physics beyond the standard model.

Production cross sections of the Higgs boson are measured in the ( ) decay channel. A data sample of proton-proton collisions at a center-of-mass energy of 13 , collected by the CMS detector at the LHC and corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 137 is used. The signal strength modifier , defined as the ratio of the Higgs boson production rate in the channel to the standard model (SM) expectation, is measured to be at a fixed value of .

The analyzed data correspond to an integrated luminosity of 137 . The analysis is aimed at events that contain , , or decays and each of the top quark(s) decays either to lepton+jets or all-jet channels.

To enhance treatment outcomes, and informed by literature about adaptations to family-based treatment (FBT), we developed an FBT-based stepped-care model for adolescents with anorexia nervosa (AN) that was consistent with family preference (i.e.

They have been shown to be a safe and effective method of delivering trauma care for injuries which do not require immediate intervention or specialist management, whilst maintaining high levels of patient satisfaction.
Aims: Our aim was to evaluate whether VFCs reduce the volume of X-rays performed for common fractures of the wrist and ankle.
Chemical gardens are an example of a chemobrionic system that typically result in abiotic macro-, micro- and nano- material architectures, with formation driven by complex out-of-equilibrium reaction mechanisms. From a technological perspective, controlling chemobrionic processes may hold great promise for the creation of novel, compositionally diverse and ultimately, useful materials and devices. In this work, we engineer an innovative custom-built liquid exchange unit that enables us to control the formation of tubular chemical garden structures grown from the interface between calcium loaded hydrogel and phosphate solution.

The self-expanding transcatheter heart valve (Medtronic Cardiovascular Corevalve and Evolut) is a supra-annular, trileafet porcine pericardial valves on a diamond lattice nickel-titanium alloy frame. The TAVR device has undergone significant improvements in design and procedural techniques to further increase safety, efficacy, and durability since they it was first released. Unique design characteristics, as well as patient and procedural factors, favor self-expanding over balloon-expandable prostheses in certain situations.

The measured Z boson elliptic azimuthal anisotropy coefficient is compatible with zero, showing that Z bosons do not experience significant final-state interactions in the medium produced in the collision.

These individuals require additional support to achieve good sexual health but the best way to provide this remains needs to be better understood. We searched for randomised controlled trials of behavioural and psychosocial interventions aimed at promoting sexual health in high-risk young populations.

These treatments included antivirals, immune modulators, severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 neutralizing antibodies, and organ-supportive treatments at both the preclinical and clinical stages of development. The ACTIV Therapeutics-Clinical Working Group Agent Prioritization subgroup established a uniform data collection process required to perform an assessment of any agent type using review criteria that were identified and differentially weighted for each agent class.

Abrupt interruption to normal gestation can lead to significant deviations to many of these processes, resulting in atypical trajectory of cortical maturation in preterm birth survivors.
Methods: We sought to first map typical cortical micro- and macrostructure development using invivo MRI in a large sample of healthy term-born infants scanned after birth (n = 259).
Cannabinoid receptor interacting protein 1a (CRIP1a) modulates CB cannabinoid receptor G-protein coupling in part by altering the selectivity for Gα subtype activation, but the molecular basis for this function of CRIP1a is not known. In the central nervous system, oligodendrocytes produce myelin sheaths that enwrap neuronal axons to provide trophic support and increase conduction velocity. New oligodendrocytes are produced throughout life through a process referred to as oligodendrogenesis. Oligodendrogenesis consists of three canonical stages: the oligodendrocyte precursor cell (OPC), the premyelinating oligodendrocyte (preOL), and the mature oligodendrocyte (OL).

To date there have been no systematic reviews that have examined the association between the tri-response model and rates of involuntary detentions. A systematic review examining co-response models demonstrated possible reduction in involuntary detention, however, recommended further research.
