Background: Investigation of vaginal penetration cognitions and metacognitive beliefs in genito-pelvic pain and penetration disorder (GPPPD) could be important for understanding the underlying mechanisms of sexual disorders.

Aim: The aim of this study was to compare healthy controls and GPPPD women for vaginal penetration cognitions and metacognitions.

Methods: Outpatients with GPPPD (n = 135) and healthy controls (n = 136) were evaluated with Sociodemographic Data Form, Structured Clinical Interview for Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders IV (SCID-I), SCID nonpatient version, Golombok-Rust Inventory of Sexual Satisfaction Female Form (GRISS), Vaginal Penetration Cognition Questionnaire, Metacognitions Questionnaire (MQ), Hamilton Anxiety Rating Scale (HAM-A), SCID and Hamilton Depression Rating Scale (HAM-D).

Exopolysaccharide producing starter cultures enable manufacturing "clean labeled" foods with improved textural and nutritional properties. The structural and technological analyses were performed on the ropy exopolysaccharides of six The incubation temperature, time and pH affected the exopolysaccharide production and high exopolysaccharide was produced in the presence of sucrose and maltose. The viscosity of exopolysaccharide was high at acidic conditions except PFC311E that showed viscous at neutral pH.

We demonstrate an autonomous, high-throughput mechanism for sorting of emulsion droplets with different sizes concurrently flowing in a microfluidic Hele-Shaw channel. The aqueous droplets of varying radii suspended in olive oil are separated into different streamlines across the channel upon interaction with a shallow (depth ∼ 700 nm) inclined guiding track ablated into the polydimethylsiloxane-coated surface of the channel with focused femtosecond laser pulses. Specifically, the observed differences in the droplet trajectories along the guiding track arise due to the different scaling of the confinement force attracting the droplets into the track, fluid drag, and wall friction, with the droplet radius.

Excitons are spin integer particles that are predicted to condense into a coherent quantum state at sufficiently low temperature. Here by using photocurrent imaging we report experimental evidence of formation and efficient transport of non-equilibrium excitons in BiSbSe nanoribbons. The photocurrent distributions are independent of electric field, indicating that photoexcited electrons and holes form excitons.

Motivation: Genomic analyses from large cancer cohorts have revealed the mutational heterogeneity problem which hinders the identification of driver genes based only on mutation profiles. One way to tackle this problem is to incorporate the fact that genes act together in functional modules. Atomic force microscopy (AFM) is typically used for analysis of relatively flat surfaces with topographic features smaller than the height of the AFM tip. On flat surfaces, it is relatively easy to find the object of interest and deconvolute imaging artifacts resulting from the finite size of the AFM tip. In contrast, AFM imaging of three-dimensional objects much larger than the AFM tip height is rarely attempted although it could provide topographic information that is not readily available from two-dimensional imaging, such as scanning electron microscopy.
