This study aims to identify risk factors associated with LTCF admission among stroke patients, specifically targeting those who transitioned from independence to disability after stroke.

Despite recent findings indicating a paradoxical association between high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C) levels and cardiovascular disease (CVD) mortality, the impact of HDL-C on subsequent outcomes after ischemic stroke remains unclear.
