Objective: This study aimed to evaluate the impact of continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) assistance on glycemic control in children with type 1 diabetes (T1D) in earthquake-affected regions, comparing those who benefited from CGM with those who did not. Additionally, the study assessed changes in CGM metrics over nine months of CGM use.

Therefore, we have started to collect G-CSF induced PBSCs on day 4 instead of on day 5. So, we retrospectively aimed to investigate the results of this 4-day G-CSF administration.

Survival Outcomes of Patients with Primary Plasma Cell Leukemia in the Era of Proteasome Inhibitors and Immunomodulatory Agents: A Real-Life Multicenter Analysis.

Objective: In this study, we aimed to obtain real-life data on the use of antimyeloma agents, which significantly increase overall survival (OS) in multiple myeloma (MM) patients, in primary plasma cell leukemia (pPCL) patients with poor prognosis.

Materials And Methods: Data from 53 patients who were diagnosed with pPCL between 2011 and 2020 and who used at least one proteasome inhibitor (PI) and/or immunomodulatory (IMID) agent were analyzed retrospectively. Depending on the year of the pPCL diagnosis, 20% leukocytes or ≥2x10/L plasma cells in the peripheral blood was used as a diagnostic criterion.

In this study, we developed a modified NRA (MONRA) to determine the first and second-line drug susceptibilities of 5 reference ATCC strains and 42 clinical M. tuberculosis isolates. A new scoring system to predict survival in elderly advanced stage Hodgkin lymphoma patients.

Predictive prognostic scoring (PS) systems are not primarily applicable to elderly patients with classical Hodgkin lymphoma (cHL). The objective of this study was to develop a PS system for these patients. The derivation cohort (DC) was utilized for model development, consisting of 97 variables.

Purpose: To evaluate the lamina cribrosa, retinal nerve fiber layer (RNFL), and macula in patients with primary open-angle glaucoma (POAG) and pseudoexfoliation glaucoma (PEXG) and healthy individuals using enhanced depth imaging (EDI) of spectral-domain optical coherence tomography (SD-OCT).

Methods: A total of 158 eyes were included in the study, comprising 58 eyes of 29 patients with POAG, 50 eyes of 25 patients with PEXG, and 50 eyes of 25 healthy individuals. The lamina cribrosa thickness (LCT) (at three locations), lamina cribrosa depth (LCD), RNFL thickness, and the macular thickness were measured using the EDI mode of the SD-OCT.

Successful treatment of aggressive AA amyloidosis with tocilizumab in a patient with polymyalgia rheumatica.

Polymyalgia rheumatica associated amyloidosis is an extremely rare condition that can be rapidly progressive with high morbidity and mortality and management is challenging. Tocilizumab is a monoclonal anti IL-6 receptor antibody which is in the therapeutic arsenal of polymyalgia rheumatica. The efficiency of tocilizumab in improvement of polymyalgia rheumatica activity score and decreasing steroid dose is well established, while efficiency in polymyalgia rheumatica associated amyloidosis has not been published.
