Background: Nocturia has been proven to have a negative impact on the quality of life and sleep quality in general elderly population. However, there are limited studies on the quantitative effect of nocturia on sleep quality and daytime dysfunction, specifically in patients with lower urinary tract symptoms.
Patients And Methods: During March 1, 2015 to December 31, 2015, a total of 728 patients who visited our urology department due to voiding dysfunction and experienced nocturia at least once per night were enrolled.
The survival outcomes of Asian men with elevated prostate-specific antigen (PSA) levels at screening are largely unknown. We present the clinical outcomes of Taiwanese men based on their screening PSA levels. Between 1994 and 2006, 27,761 men aged over 40 years underwent PSA screening in a self-funded health examination.

We explored whether this iNOS promoter polymorphism and cigarette smoking are associated with urothelial carcinoma (UC) risk.
Methods: A total of 250 patients with pathologically confirmed UC and 250 unrelated noncancer controls were serially recruited at the Chia Yi Christian Hospital from August 2002 to May 2005.
Benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) is one of the most common diseases in elderly men. It describes an overgrowth of the epithelial and fibromuscular tissues in the human prostate, in which both epithelium and stroma continue to proliferate at different rates. There is lack of suitable techniques for direct evaluation of the biophysical structure of molecular constituents and the proliferative changes in the structure of both compartments at the microscopic level.

One way to expand the donor pool is the use of non-heart-beating (NHB) donors. This study evaluated the potential number of NHB kidney-donors in Taiwan using a retrospective death chart review from a regional hospital in patients who died between January 1 and December 31, 1999.

Second-derivative spectral analysis and a curve-fitting program were used to verify and obtain the protein secondary conformation and composition of the samples. TURP uses an electric cutting heat but PNB is a nonheating process.
