Background: Limited research exists regarding the impact of neuroimaging on endovascular thrombectomy (EVT) decisions for late-window cases of large vessel occlusion (LVO) stroke.
Objective: T0 assess whether perfusion CT imaging: (1) alters the proportion of recommendations for EVT, and (2) enhances the reliability of EVT decision-making compared with non-contrast CT and CT angiography.
Methods: We conducted a survey using 30 patients drawn from an institutional database of 3144 acute stroke cases.
Background And Purpose: To evaluate the reliability and accuracy of nonaneurysmal perimesencephalic subarachnoid hemorrhage (NAPSAH) on Noncontrast Head CT (NCCT) between numerous raters.
Materials And Methods: 45 NCCT of adult patients with SAH who also had a catheter angiography (CA) were independently evaluated by 48 diverse raters; 45 raters performed a second assessment one month later. For each case, raters were asked: 1) whether they judged the bleeding pattern to be perimesencephalic; 2) whether there was blood anterior to brainstem; 3) complete filling of the anterior interhemispheric fissure (AIF); 4) extension to the lateral part of the sylvian fissure (LSF); 5) frank intraventricular hemorrhage; 6) whether in the hypothetical presence of a negative CT angiogram they would still recommend CA.
MDGAs (MAM domain-containing glycosylphosphatidylinositol anchors) are synaptic cell surface molecules that regulate the formation of trans-synaptic bridges between neurexins (NRXNs) and neuroligins (NLGNs), which promote synaptic development. We reviewed our institution's consecutive series of endovascularly treated cavernous carotid artery aneurysms to compare these two modalities and their associated clinical and radiographic outcomes.
Methods: All patients harboring a cavernous carotid artery aneurysm treated by FD or PVO from January 2008 to December 2018 were enrolled.

Background And Purpose: Radial artery access has become the standard of care in percutaneous coronary procedures due to demonstrated patient safety and comfort benefits; however, uptake of radial access for diagnostic cerebral angiography has been limited by practitioner concerns over the ability to achieve procedural success. We aimed to provide randomized clinical trial evidence for the non-inferiority of radial access to achieve procedural success.

UNC-45B is a multidomain molecular chaperone that is essential for the proper folding and assembly of myosin into muscle thick filaments in vivo. It has previously been demonstrated that the UCS domain is responsible for the chaperone-like properties of the UNC-45B. Myocardin-related transcription factor B (MRTFB) is a candidate tumor-suppressor gene identified in transposon mutagenesis screens of the intestine, liver, and pancreas. Using a combination of cell-based assays, in vivo tumor xenograft assays, and Mrtfb knockout mice, we demonstrate here that MRTFB is a human and mouse colorectal cancer (CRC) tumor suppressor that functions in part by inhibiting cell invasion and migration. To identify possible MRTFB transcriptional targets, we performed whole transcriptome RNA sequencing in MRTFB siRNA knockdown primary human colon cells and identified 15 differentially expressed genes.

Methods: Patients presenting over a consecutive 9-year period with subarachnoid hemorrhage (SAH) and at least 1 angiographically evident aneurysm were included. Variables significantly associated with DCI in univariate analysis underwent multivariable logistic regression.
Study Objective: To investigate whether anesthesiologists' decisions to request preoperative cardiac evaluation (cardiologist consultation, echocardiography, and cardiac stress testing) before vascular surgery were influenced by patient comorbidity and magnitude of surgery; and to explore whether factors unrelated to the American College of Cardiology/American Heart Association (ACC/AHA) guidelines influence these decisions.
